I forgot most of you don't get out of this forum, so I might as well post it here. If you can help, please reply.

I just got my Apex downpipe, but it didn't come with a signal modifier. Does anyone know how I can make one myself? I know I can buy one, but I wanted to put this on today, and didn't want to wait for one to ship. Is it possible to make one, or should I just put the DP on now, and fix it later?
Also, since I've never really been under that car looking at this, which O2 sensor do I use, and what do I do with the extra one? Thanks, Alex

there's only 1 O2 sensor to use. its plugged into the pipe thats on there now and plugs directly into the down pipe. easy as pie my man.

Yeah, I just got under there and looked. So where is the worry about throwing a CEL coming from then??

The first O2 sensor is in the Manifold, open the hood and it's right there. The second is after the cat and it just is there to ensudre the cat is working correctly.

Just what he said. But you really cant make one. I would just wait and get one from apex. I have a straight pipe from them as well and when i got the pipe they didnt even have the O2 modifier yet so i just drove around with my CEL on. But when they came out with it i got one. It took me like 5 minutes to install and very easy. It even come with a how to...

so that explain what that wire is for hehehe, i have no experience in wiring, my guess was a egt sensor for the ecu to moniter engine health

Sweet....I'll look back at their site and try and track one down. Thanks for the helps guys:)

The first 02 sensor is the one that hunts for the mixture, the 2nd one on the manifold gives a constant reading to the PCM.

Okay, I've put 300 miles on this DP, and the CEL hasn't come on. Should it have by now? If I reset my ECU, will it then? The reason I'm concerned now, is this...If I go get the ECU flashed, and the DP triggers the CEL, then they are gonna wonder why. Then I'm screwed. They won't let the car leave until they make note that the CEL came on, and I'm sure they will totally void my warranty then.

Well i dont remember how many miles i had to put on my car before the check engine light came on but i do know that it didnt come on right away. If you are taking your car in to be flashed this is what you came do. You can contact apex ASAP and have them mail one out now or you can reset the ecu if the cel light comes on and that will help but for only so long. But like you said i would be worried the the cel may come on at the dealer...

what color wire was the o2 modifier spliced into. i need the color bad i have a cel and i need to get the flash done. i'm going to splice the modifier at the pcm.

thanks justin

I dont know what wires to use at the ecu but i do know that you use the power and signal wire from the O2 sensor..

How do you like driving with the new downpipe? Is there a difference from before? Is there any sound change associated with it? Thanks.

just need the signal wire for the rear 02 that it. i can ohm it out if someone knows the color of the signal wire on the o2 senor itself

thanks justin

I believe the signal wire is blue.
As far as the power, it's nitecable only until the hesitation kicks in, and then its just a flat line all the way to 5,000rpm's. Then it pulls hard until redline. The DP only made the hesitation worse IMO, and since I'm only peaking at 10psi now, I might as well get the flash done. I need to call APEX though first.
