I was going to post this in another thread. Besides it being thread jacking, I felt it almost seemed like I was picking on someone, when they don't deserve it in the least.
I'm talking about companies coming here, giving us these great deals, and group buys on future products. More importantly, products that they have yet to make, or test
I can't justify spending money on something that is not proven to work with no ill side effects. There's always a chance when buying a product like this, that it just won't work. I only bring this up because it happpens quite a bit. I will never buy anything that is not tested, and proven to work for sometime after the initial product release. I just can't take the risk. I have a warranty, and I like it. Too many companies come on here and say
"We'll make 10 thingies and only 10" for a group buy. This is one shot deal, we may or may not make more in the future, and we have never made these before"
....like ummmm great, but you have never tested these, and you want us to just take a chance?...sure why not, just call me stupid.
I welcome companies here, and group buys are a great thing. But I ask these companies to do their homework before you bother us. I want PROOF! I want testing, dyno's, and ideally I want to have someone on board who has had the part that can say....yes it works, and no there isn't any other problems due to installing it. Having such and such company that posts here, and says we are bla bla company, we have been doing this for x amount of years, we do this and that, and our product is the bomb...bla bla yadda yadda.....PROVE IT. That's all I ask. Otherwise....go away. You can't expect tuners to just take a plunge, spend their hard earned money on something that you have NEVER EVEN BUILT OR TESTED YET.
