Nitrousmini

this sounds so absurd and so stupidly dangerous!!!!!!!!! Why would anyone want to get this.....the best part about the cons of normal nirtous systems was... "90% of system comprised of useless electronics..."(hand)

LOL, it does sound like they're trying to feed you BS, but it should work. You'll probably see a 10hp gain or so while using it. Not bad, for $100.

I am not really sure if I understand what it does....has anyone heard of anything like this and can explain it to me....is it a Cold air intake with basically a wet jet nitrous injection...therefore cooling the intake charge..through theory getting horsepower gains....? any thoughts appreciated.

Looks like they are using very small tanks that are used in paintball guns. But without any added fuel it is not a good idea in my book, even though the charge would only last a few seconds with such a small tank. It might work and it might give you a little kick but I wouldn't waste my money. I would rather save for a turbo from www.Spool-Turbo.com :D

hell i think its a pretty neat idea. i would get it if i had the 100 to spend. i mean, why would some of you on here consider it being more dangerous???

hey, my thoughts exactly when I started this thread.....we are all just "filler" reply's until the gr8 ones speak..lol

YOu know, I still am not sure exactly how they work this kit. I would need a visual on a car.

yeah linux. some one should buy it to see how it works. Linux do you think i could do damage to a car??

UMMMMMMMMM Am I the only one that was looking at the actual pieces to the kit. I mean there is about $2 worth of hose in there and look at the 3 littel nozzles. They came right off of a bicycle pump. I mean there is one of those needles used to fill basketballs and such. and their intake????? I wouldn't trust this thing on a go gart. I have personally never seen nitrous oxide in small canisters like they are showing. I mean I know like 4 places in town to fill a N20 bottle but where do you get those things????WAL-MART. Now I have seen nitrogen capsules. It is just another form of compressed air....well basically. I don't think that plain nitrogen is the same as nitrous oxide meaning I don't think that it gives the same effect. I may be way off base but I would rather spend the $100 bucks on crack and smoke it instead of hooking that thing up to my car and smoking it.

did anyone click the link to show the short demonstration video....what the heck was up with that. :wtf:

It looks like they're using whipped cream chargers (food-grade so no "dangerous" sulfur and such in them) for the nitrous source and a cracker to get the nitrous out of it. Both are readily available at head shops (for "alternate" uses) ... don't ask.

I once toyed with the idea of doing something like that but their kit looks waaaay too simple (and cheap). You probably run the hose into the cabin and have a passenger unscrew the cracker to let the nitrous out (I wouldn't try doing it while driving). You save 100lb on the canister but lose at least that much for the passenger.
