I have heard from many people that it's not good to have the bottle open if you are not going to shoot!

I ask them why they reply "b/c the pressure will wind up causing the solenoids to fail"

Well...than...i have a question...my bottle was closed and i went to get it filled...and when i craked the line to get the bottle out...i heard a psssssst...which sounded as if the lines were pressuriezed......Can someone Clarify this for me! and why i can't drive around for an hour w/ the bottle open!!

thanks

Every time I take the bottle out, there's always a little pressure in the lines... Hell, it's lasted for me for 3 years that way, I've never had any trouble.

I've always left the bottle closed when driving around normally. That's what the shop that installed it told me to do a long time ago, and I just always have... With the remote opener, it only takes about 2 seconds to open anyways..

Wish I knew a better answer... :( Anyways, good luck!

When you open the valve the PISSSSS you here is gas escaping the bottle and entering your line thus pressurizing your line. Unless you dissconnect your line or have a purge kit this pressure remains even when you close the bottle which is just as bad as leaving the bottle on get a purge kit so that you can vent off excess pressure and be able to go longer wihtout rebuilding your solenoids. Leaving the bottle open creates pressure which in turn creates stress on the solenoid seals which can lead to premature failure or even causing them to stick this is why it is not a good idea to leave the bottle open.
