New P5 competitor: 2002 Suzuki Aerio

Edmunds has a review of the new Suzuki. 2.0L engine, 141 HP, 135 foot LB of torque, for $1500 less. It's kinda ugly though.

I have personally driven a SUZUKI SIDEKICK SPORTS, and i had an engine swap because one of the piston has collapsed. And the engine was actually the only Japanese made part. So, if you ask me, I will not even consider a suzuki, especially when the suzuki is a p5 wannabe. As for the sidekick? I traded it in for a yellow p5.

Well, i agree, suzuki should stick to making bikes and s*** like that. I know that the Aerio wont beat my 5 and if any of u race that "van" and lose, sell your 5 and dont mention it to anyone here.

suzuki sucks~~...i went to the car show and i actually sat in the car..the material they use are cheap...like when you hit the car body and stuff..it's like a piece of thin metal sheet....
our P5 looks WAAAYYYYY COOLLLL than that minivan

Mazda was one of the 1st one to built a car like the MP5 and now we have:

Toyota Matrix
Suzuki
Pontiac Vibe

but you know what? All the others 5 doors just try to be like a MP5 but the P5 is and will stay the best car!!!!

I personally don't think that car looks that bad. It looks better as a sedan though. The fact that it has 11 more HP and the sedan starts at like 14k is pretty nice. I mean, that is CHEAP. Like geo metro cheap, except this car actually has HP. I say don't knock it until you drive it.

Hey All. I just bought my MP5 on Sunday, 4/13/02. I actually test drove the Suzuki Areo becaue my wife thought it was "cute". The car is a P.O.S. (piece of s***) for those who don't know. People say: $14k for 141 horses. I am here to tell you. Those horses are not long from the glue factory. Besides...like my dad always said..."You get what you pay for" and I feel like I got alot for $17,500 w/ my MP5

Mp5 is the 2nd best looking wagon that I have seen!!!
And the best 1 is the S4 Audi Wagon.....but cost much more $$$

Best looking wagons? I like the RS6 and the RS4 better (can't wait for the Audi's to come to the US in 2003). Plus the 540i wagon rocks too.
