Good evening from Southern France! Yes, with our local wine and breathing Mediterranean air.. life is good!
I have been driving now for over 43 years and have never owned a Mazda.. until now. Well Tuesday to be precise. It is a Mazda5, 2.0 Turbo Diesel, Elegance, 2007 model with just over 100,000 kms on the clock. In exceptional condition both inside and out. I went for it because it is Japan built, looks fairly bullet proof (compared to the rather fragile looking French competition) and seems very practical.
I always like to join the forums of cars (and bikes) I drive so I can get a practical view of what ownership is like, and hopefully make some virtual friends on the way!.
I am 60 yrs old, English, work as a Real Estate agent locally, drive a Peugeot 206, Citroen Xsara and an Aprilia SL1000 motorcycle. Many years in the computer industry made me love technology, I am also a good cook and love wine.
Now, my question to you guys... have I made a wise choice with the Mazda5 and what should I look for during my period of ownership?
