Hello everybody,

I've had my MS6 for about three month now and have just now came into a financial situation to where i can afford cheap to moderate priced upgrades, anything over 1000 may take some time, just looking for any tips or insight as where to begin upgrading my car, i'm looking to start performance first and move on to exterior in a while. So far the only thing i put in was an AEM cold air intake. Any help would be appriciated!!

Definitely check out a rear motor mount and a turbo inlet pipe. The turbo inlet pipe is something that sometimes gets ignored, but it's very cheap (~$150) and really opens up the path to the turbo.

it all depends on how much money you want to spend...if i were you...the first thing i would do is complement the air intake with the turbo inlet pipe as Chris said...after installing it ...the sound of the intake increased and made my car sound like a jet engine as i took off down the street...i love the sound of it lol....mind you i went with an aluminum pipe as apposed to the cobb inlet pipe which is made of a rubber hose...and the reason i went aluminum was strictly due to sound...i love hearing how loud my turbo is spooling up lol

second part to look into would be the motor mount ( i don't have one yet but am still looking into what kinda of bushings i want ) or the test pipe which frees up some exhaust power...or even an upgraded bypass valve (everyone has different opinions on them but for me my stock one sucked and by upgrading it i was able to hold more boost)

each part - motor mount, test pipe and by pass valve all are in the price range of $80-$170 depending on which company you end up buying from.

goodluck with whatever you decide to do...if you need any more advise just let us know!!

Welcome! I'll chime in with the SPC adjustable front ball joints, in addition to the items above (intake, TIP, motor mount), so you can get a proper alignment that will alow you to a) handle better, and b) not chew through tires.

great advice so far! and welcome to 247 meng!

oh and smokey, wtf is the HTP Inlet? never heard of them... im in the market for an inlet, been leaning towards aluminum too lately...

haha i had to go through my old e-mails to find there website...i picked one up a little over a year ago...before protege garage starting making them....it was a little expensive...but the product was a perfect fit for my aem cold air intake and have been loving it every since...here is the site... http://www.hitunedperformance.com/msproducts.html ... looks like right now you gotta call to get prices...but i can tell you that i got my product in a few days from ordering and was very happy over all with them.
