I have an 06 black mica ms6 and have a hell of a time keeping it clean. Main problem is water spots. I wash it myself because going to the car wash would amass to a fortune. I have very hard water.

Wash it in the shade and dry it off with a towel.

+1
and try using car wash soap that helps sheen the water off.
they should say on the bottle if they do this.

or find a $5 exterior touchless wash like me. :) simply the coast of lunch once a week.

Dude I have a feeling I have harder water then you. I live in Vegas, and we have some of the hardest water in the country. -.- But, if you wash it later in the day in the shade with decent soap suds and do a good job drying it, there should be minimal water spots. I need to claybar mine right now, because of the water spots on mine. Damn near impossible to get them all! So I sympathize with you bro.

wow $5 touchless. The cheapest around me is $7 for basic and $9 with underbody. No wax or anything. What is the best thing to use to dry? I have some microfiber towels that are supposed to do it but they just smear the water.

i use one of those shammie's (no not the sham wow). i can usually get the water off of the car even in the sun before it has time to leave spots. During the summer i try to dry it in the shade and i can still prevent water spots. also a good idea is to use an instant detailer spray like that Ice stuff. it'll take any water spots away very quickly and shine it up nicely too. Also it really doesnt take that long at all and you can use it in the sun

Shammys FTW. I never have a problem with water spots like that. And the water I use is very hard. Shade plus shammy = win with a photo finish.
