You may want to look into powder coating too.

As far as the painting you are talking about though, a key factor is to have a dust free clean room that most professional painters have.

dude if i highly suggest getting your car painted professionally... Not doing it yourself... and as far as equipment and paint supplies goes... Sata Jets HVLPs or RPs or great guns Id suggest a sata2000 or a sata3000 but those guns alone are around 500 to 600 a pop... and paint supplies ppg or dupont Id suggest... and dude its not cheap at all... you need sand paper, tape, Sealer, Base, Clear, Water/oil separators and a mess of other stuff
