My Airbag light is blinkin!?!

It started today, I looked in the manual and it suggested that I take it to the dealer right away. I have an appointment tomorrow morning. Has anyone else experienced this?? I have a 2002 P5 almost 12,000 miles.

Why worry about it since your still under warranty? Just let Mazda worry about it.

my airbag light has been on for about 8 months ... but thats because i installed a Grant GT wheel

Just don't get to close to the wheel in case it goes off all of the sudden at a stoplight for no reason. LOL, drive in the passenger seat until you get it checked out he he.

Your car has Side-Airbags option ???

Because mine has them,

and when I took out the front seats to install some amps for my audio system, and in the meantime, when I turned on the engine, the dash shows the Airbag sign blinking.
So if your car has the Side-Airbags option, I thought maybe the cables going from the floor to the underside of the seats may have disconnected at the yellow harness...

Hopes that helps although I believe you already went to the Mazda rep today Right...?

I dropped it off at 9am this morning and they still haven't been able to determine the issue. They want to keep it another day, which is fine because they gave me a loaner... I'm not sure, but the leather seats in this 626 sure are nice.
