Sorry to sound so 1800's but i just got my DSL hooked up and am very excited. But, what music services do you use. I've been using WIN-MX is that ok? Thanks for all the input

WinMX is the best of the "file-sharing" services.

KaZaa and Morpheus both contain hidden "spyware" that reports back on where you go and look at so that it can give you more targeted pop-ups. This eats bandwidth and the software also redirects payments you make on-line, making it seem that KaZaa or Morpheus is referring you to the website so they get a commission (instead of whatever site took you there.) Bad voodo.

that is what I use as well.....as do a lot of members here.....if you run throught the "post your desktop" thread you will notice the icon on a lot of desktops!

i'd also recommend SoulSeek - it's a little unknown, but i've always found what i'm looking for, and my college network hasn't blocked it.

i use Kazaa-lite doesnt have the spyware stuff like the full kazaa, but you get all the great downloading benefits.
