MSP = Porsche Killer

Bad Mouth Ferrari? Hardly - I love em! Porsche simply got the edge, and held it at some of the biggest road racing events. Ferrari, needless to say, won their share. That 312PB that Andretti and Ickx drove during the '72 season, won damn near everything.

I remember the original 924, though, It had the Audi inline 4 engine. Good handler though.

Calm down boys! AGR you tend to get a little overexcited but this time I've gotta agree with you 100%

Yashooa, a 924 was a POS relative to Porsche standards, but if you look at the cars that other companies were building during the same period it was still better than anything non-Porsche.

OH SWEET JE**S!
A vette was less of a car than a ******* 924.
OMG I think I am going to bust a gut.
I drove some 944's and a couple of NA 911's back then that belong to my Dad's friend. I was only 16 but they were pretty sweet for the time but I have never ever in any way shape or form seen a 924 as anything but a wart on Porsche's ass.

the 914 was and is a great handling car. no the fastest by far but handles great!!

oh yeah and N/A boxsters are crap!!

A VW bug with an even uglier body on it.
I dont care if it can turn circles on the ceiling and defy gravity IT WAS and is A PIECE OF s*** period.
It makes a Neon look good for G*D's sakes.
Porsche redefined fugly with the 914.

Don't take me so literally. Of course there were Corvette's and the early Z cars, but other than that 924's were better than virtually anything else. Between 75 and 87ish there were some REALLY bad cars on the road and even if the 924 was a wart on Porsche's ass it wasn't a bad car for its time.

I traded in the Supra for an 86 944 Turbo and it was like night and day. The Porsche was so much better in so many ways. Faster, smoother better handling. It wasn't even close. And the 944s have a relatively bad reputation.

My friend is driving an 87 944 (non-turbo). Granted the car has 87K on it and it could use a stiffer suspension...but it can carve turns beautifully without giving you a harsh ride. the non-turbo lacks in power the same way my P5 does, only having like 150hp, but its still really fun to drive.

Anyway...I was just going to say that I believe the whole story except he had one misconception.... Porsches sound like they are launching off the line whether they are granny shifting or giving it everything they got...its the nature of the beast...you hear the engine, not the exhaust...just like an M series Bimmer. So this guy was probably half heartedly shifting when he realized that you were keeping up...which is a pretty good feat...but to clue you in on the real monster beneath...he smoked you at the next light.

I will own a porsche....someday.

i still say it way more fun to ******* let someone win.... and then just spank there ass the next time.. let them get the im faster than u vibe and shut em out. I do it all the time.. i'll sit at a light, even stall the car ;op.. its all mind games.. and there quite fun.

I used to drive a 2002 mitsubishi lancer oz rally, pulled up to the light agianst a si. he looked over said is that the evo viii i said yup, u could see the guys chin literally hit is lap, he said the 4wd one, i said YEP, and i beat him by 4 cars. all a head game he knew he was gonna lose from the moment he pulled up. he was so fumbled he couldn't shift he hi revlimiter and was watching me more than watching what he was doing.

In your case, the guy had to put u in the position to think u were gonna win, when in reality there was the thought in the back of ur mind that you knew you would lose, when you won. It shut out ur true thoughts. u figured u'd have him. and all you saw was the cya custom liscense plate ;op.

Lets play a game who can spot the Fast and the furious quote in this post.

Oh and I have a friend who has a 944 and I will whip his ass.

I hung with a boxter around tight curves when My car was stock. Granted the guy driving it had no clue how to drive, I know because it was my friend driving it.

Yayyyy!! You win a refurbished intake....It is in perfect condition now, was repaired after some ricer blew the welds on it.
