yeah when you had a CAI and I wasnt upped running boost, or had my intake or my underdrive pulley
What was it you said on saturday when I asked to race you? Oh yeah "you would kick my ass" I think is what you said

no no no no , I said.. "your ass is grass"

If it wasn't this car, and if it was really a 2002 or 2003 you were played plain and simple. He wasn't even trying.

Well he looked like the jack ass because I smoked him in front of everyone and when he boned out on me nobody was around

WAKE UP!!!!

First of all: a 996 is a 911 variation. If he wanted - he would have eaten you ALIVE! 296 HP 0-60mph in 439 seconds (flat 6)

Now hear this!!

A Porsche (especially a 2002/2003 or any of them, for that matter) is better in every way than our beloved MAZDASPEEDS. Believe it!

99.9% of Porsche owners don't give a silly Rat's Ass about STUPID ******* Street Racing! Get it!

They are true Sports Cars. They are expensive, and their engineering is incredible.

Sometimes; I really wonder how many of you think beyond the boulevard. Here's an idea. Spend a day watching Road Racing on the SPEED Channel. Some of you might actually begin to understand a little about Motorsports (beyond the boulevard, and the strip).

Hmm a Boxter maybe?

A standard boxer isn't a beast either.
http://www2.us.porsche.com/english/usa/home.htm

The new Boxster is a direct descendent of the original Porsche roadster. Offering a driving experience that is steeped in tradition, yet utterly incomparable.

Turn the key, and the engine bursts into life with the familiar sound of a genuine Porsche flat six. Ideally positioned between the cockpit and rear axle, the upgraded boxer engine develops a full 168 kW (228 bhp) from an unchanged displacement of 2.7 litres. Maximum torque of 260 Nm is available from 4,700 rpm. Equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, the Boxster combines an eager throttle and optimised cylinder charging to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.4 seconds, and then a top speed of 253 km/h (157 mph).

woah a little testy are we? Like I said from the beginning I know he could have smoked me at anytime.
I dont agree with the better in everway part, I think my carbon fiber mazdaspeed shifter is nicer ;)

We're not talking about a 914....... And; it is unlikely you will ever see a 959 on the road. A Boxster S is plenty for us.....

Porsche is a different league..... Get over it!

Who wants a lesson in Porsche racing history??

Yes a 996 is the continuation of the 911 line and it is fast even in NA form but to contend that ALL Porches are direct descendants of the CAR GODS is a little far fetched.
The sun of the car industry does not shine out of Stuttgarts ass.

It shines out of Ferrari's :p

The new 911 NA makes 320HP 0-62 in 5 secs flat and a top speed of 177. So yes it would be spank city for us but again I don't particularly live in fear of a NA Boxter.

I was almost doing 40-50 when he was really trying to get me, so you figure it would take him those 4 seconds to even start to get to the speed I am at and then he has to close the gap even more since I was still accelerating as hard as I could... Its plausable

Guess what? When you take the racing 914s, the racing 924s, 944s, etc... The sun actually does pretty much shine out of Porsches ass. Just fact.

They are the winningest manufacturer in Road Racing history.

Yes; even more wins than Ferrari!

AH AGR I don't even care man. I was just messing with you.
Don't let that nutcase Mafioso FBI114 see you bad mouth Ferrari.
He will go all "Grr Ferrari will eat yo MOMMA so die you Irish pig!"

Calm down boys! AGR you tend to get a little overexcited but this time I've gotta agree with you 100%

Yashooa, a 924 was a POS relative to Porsche standards, but if you look at the cars that other companies were building during the same period it was still better than anything non-Porsche. I can talk about cars of that era from personal experience. I came into some money in 1982 and I really lied the style of the 924 but they were phasing them out for the 944 and there was like a six month wait list for a 944. I bought an 82 Supra that was a great car and won a butt load of awards that year, car of the year etc.

I traded in the Supra for an 86 944 Turbo and it was like night and day. The Porsche was so much better in so many ways. Faster, smoother better handling. It wasn't even close. And the 944s have a relatively bad reputation.

And more importantly to this original thread is the idea that Porsche owners KNOW it isn't even close. I'd bet a testicle that the Porsche guy in this story didn't even notice the MSP until it took off "racing." At
