Msp Fan Running?

Is it only me or does everyones fan almost always constantly run ? at idle...some times while driving... does anyone have this ? help!!!

Mine does. What bugs me even more is that mine will turn on for about 15 seconds and then turn off for 15 and then on and then off and then on and then off.......

It's like, why the F doesn't it just STAY on for a little bit -- it has to be harder on the electronics for it to constantly be stopping and starting. Did the same thing on my 2000 Protege ES too.

it's a smart call for the fan to chime on and off cause the I/C is integrated into the fan shroud. good call MAZDA

BUT.....
Does everyone's fan come on as soon as they start up their car regardless of the temperature for about 10 or 15 seconds every time?Mine does and it also runs on and off all the time too! It does seem to be normal and the fan that runs isn't the one over the I/C fan that is the auxillary fan for when the A/C is running.

If you have your windshield defroster on, then the AC compressor will be on, which I believe means the fan would be on as well.

Yes,and you will rob the motor of power and use more gas as it is just like running the A/C!
