MSP Bye- Bye

Me and Pirana accually stopped by Mazda last night an checked out the RX-8's there in stock. There was some guy and his daughter going for a test drive....

i'll be doing the same shortly depending on a couple pending circumstances here at work. i made a call monday night and yesterday(tuesday morning) the lady i talked to called me and said they got 2 in with the silver being pre-sold and the red being the other car. drove up to syracuse as fast as i could after work and checked it out for some time. didn't drive it but i got a ride in it.

HOLY HELL! that thing is just soo smooth as far as everything from the engine to the body lines on it. the 2 that they had didn't have anything really special, just the 6 speed 250hp versions. no navigation, rotor accents, chrome accents, plain jane cd player,no body flairs or extrea peices,no polished wheels,no leather or matching color inserts in the seats. pretty strippo versions of the 6 speeds but incredible none the less. fairly roomy as well.

they wouldn't sell it to me last night because with the silver one sold its going to be a show room car till they get more in within a couple weeks. till then i'll be anxiously awaiting to see the Winning Blue one when it comes in. the price for the car with some kind of traction stablizing system which was another $1k came to mid $28K

(omg)

Looks like its time to get a 3rd job for me!
It almost sounds possible, I thought these were going to be in the 30's with the 350Z

yeah, me and a friend stopped by Rodger Burdick Mazda in Syracuse last night to check out the RX-8s they had. They had a silver one and a red one. The silver one was sold and the red one parked on the side of the building so that the manager could take it home for the night. Let me tell you....I was sporting wood as soon as I saw the rotor design embedded into each and every part of that car. It is used in the hood, the grille, the optional valve stems, the seats, the shift knob, the rear end, etc.... and all for just over 28K. The guy that ran out to use after we pulled into the parking lot with the orange msp was pretty cool. He told us that they aren't supposed to give out rides yet because the manager was taking it home, but he gave us a ride anyways, let me tell you something else, that guy cannot drive stick! He didn't stall it, but that could be because he reved it up to 4500-5k and then let the clutch out....ouch! And his shifting went like this 1st-2nd-3rd-2nd(missed 4th). None the less I filled the cup(humor from Jay and Silent Bob) and I want one of those cars, I just simply cannot afford the RX-8. I'm jealous of all of you that get one:D

Hrrrmmm, metyhinks **** the hesitation, might be time to chekc out the RX-8 :D ooohhh and an autoexe kit to boot for it.

Just saw 2 down at the dealer today...damn those things are nice. They have sold like 8 of them already. My speed kicks ass anyway, and Ill have more fun modding it out and saving the cash for a pimp house. Tell us how it is if you get one.

i could hardly contain myself when i saw it. after looking at it and riding in it and being in its presense walking back to my car i remember thinking,s***,i gotta drive away in this thing now. awwww man!

i'm grinning like an idiot right now thinking about the car

I haven't seen one yet,,,,,,,,,,but looking forward to it.

Anyone with a new MAZDASPEED...won't you be way upside down trading on one, though?

id take an M3 over a RX8 anyday, i sat in an rx8 it is very nice, the console is a great thing

Sure,,,,,but a new M3 will cost you over $50,000.

I would love an S4 Audi. I love that car!

S4's can be had for about the same price as the RX-8 on ebay. completely differnet platform though.

and yes, for another $20-30K you can have that M3. i'll pocket the cash for a rainy day and buy a modded 3rd gen 7 that'll out handle and perform on any platform over the M3 any day.

I still Love My MAZDASPEED

In the future (4 or so years..), I might consider the RX-8.

I still have a fondness for sports sedans, though.
