Ok...i was wondering how long you guys think the car will last with regular oil changes and good care??? The reason i ask is that i have had my car for a month and 8 days now and it already has 3777 miles...this is due to the fact that I drive 150 miles home on almost every weekend. Also, during the first few weeks of getting the car I had to go back and forth between the two cities. Oh well this sucks.. I just hate to see so many miles on it...anybody else with similar problems???

Bleh I'm almost at 8k and only had it about a month. No problems.

Also interested in the overall durability of the engine in the long run.

thank god...i feel like im killing my baby by driving it so much. Oh well...when i have nothing to do i drive my car...i also tend to clean it alot...damn i hate the cloth seats though can't get them to stay cleann if my life depended on it.

Dunno havent had to many problems with the seats yet.

Come spring though its getting a complete rub down with this stuff

I've used it before and its amazing on the paint and overall look of the car. But is a day long project at the least.

i wish i could have that many miles for 5 months....i have 3,777 for just over a month. I guess its not too bad.. i need my car to last until the end of college.

I think this engine is capable of lasting for quite some time. I had a 1990 Protege LX with 174,000 miles, and it was still going strong; in fact, that was 4 years ago, and I still the car around.

I have 19,200 miles right now, and I bought my car in Jan. 2002. Not a bit of trouble from the drivetrain at all. I am trying to wait patiently for the 30K service when I can switch to synthetic Tranny fluid, and flush the coolant.

i've got 30k on my 02 i bought in july of 01 and the car drives like brand new. not one problem. i haven't spent a nickel on a repair. i change the oil every 3k. this car should last you through college and beyond if you take care of it and do the preventitive maintenance stuff.

on my 2002 pro 5 i have an amazing about 33,000 miles on it already .... and it seems that the car is just breaking in ..... no probs at all .... and has treated me great ..... love her ...... it was a great investment for me .....bought her in nov 2001

just about all my miles are highway miles...10 minute commute to school each day and then 150 mile drive on the weekends...the city driving is spent going to the store if needed

i have a correction my car has 35,800 and just a few more miles........ i looked down last night on my way home and figured i was over 30,000 miles

Okay, So I feel better about my car now. I thought I was putting a lot of miles on my car with 8,000 miles on it in almost four months of ownership. Almost all my miles are highway miles (my commute is 70 miles roundtrip everyday).

I had the oil changed at around 2500 miles for the first time and have been running Mobil 1 5W30 Synthetic with another change at 7,000 and haven't had a problem loving it so far.

I bought my car in April, 2001 and I have almost 37K miles on the clock and not a single fluke.
