MemphisRacer?????

you all need to stop payment. He does not want to reply to e-mails. and he does not want to do anything to let us know the status of our orders. He needs to learn a lesson. I don't know if he has been good with people in the past, but right now he has to be the worst buisness that i have ever dealt with. If you are all sitting there waiting for his responce you will probally be playing with your selves a long time. He is not worth the time of day. STOP PAYMENT AND MAKE HIM PAY.

Jeremy

You guys need to calm down some, the guy just explained his situation, apologized, and said that he would make good on it all. Im sure he already has a ton of email that you sent him asking where his stuff is that he now has to sort out, figure out who gets what, and none the less he said he just moved too, so cut him a small break, even though this situation isn't the best. He's already got your money, so calling him names and giving him a hard time isn't going to make him ship your things out any faster. Give the man a chance. Im not supporting what he did/what happened to him, but I do understand s*** happens, just respect that and give him the chance to work it out like he said...

This is my ****-up and I intend to make good on it.

He did a fine job on my order, but I'd be climbing the walls if he had my money for a month without a commit date. Customer service is critical to business success, and communication should be a priority. He needs to step up to the plate with more than an 'I'm sorry and I promise to make it right' post on the board. He needs to contact each one of his customers with unfulfilled orders ASAP, otherwise I fully support the recommendation to stop payment and attempt to recover your money...unless, of course, you're a kind heart who wants to make a non-deductible $120+ donation to the MemphisRacer fund.

Peace...(hippy)

All I can add; is that, since meeting Corey in late April, I felt he was a stand-up guy. I am relieved that he finally did post; and I guess, he was too proud to confide in me as a friend, that he had some problems. I understand that. Now......all he needs to do is take care of business, and yes; communicate to his customers.

Give me a call Corey, if you want. I still consider you my friend.

Wow, drama....sucks for Corey and for his customers. I'm glad I've held off this long before ordering. Hopefully he'll get things sorted out soon and I'll reconsider at that point.

However, there is NO reason why someone can't show a little professional courtesy by keeping the lines of communication open.

It's kinda like with a girlfriend (or ex maybe) - I'd rather be told to go to hell rather than not know/told nothing/ignored, etc...just my .02.

Hope things settle for you Corey - I'll buy at some point soon I'm sure....

********, I guess you do not understand because it is not your money. If MR had some problems I am sorry for him. He might be a really cool guy. But the fact is that we all ordered something and have recieved nothing, not even an e-mail. if he was going to make good on it he should have done that the day he realized that he couldnt meet the orders. If he was moving he could have gone down to the local library and used the internet conection there.

I am bitching to much about this. I have stoped payment and have an exhaust on the way from someone else.

For some reason I feel better now.

I'm saddened to say we're from the same state. There's some level of understanding that could be upheld here. How long were you waiting? Compare that to how long some people waited for their MSPs and then how long people waited for any performance parts (INJEN intake GB was a pita!). Compare that to how long MP3 owners have waited for a clunk fix, with almost no real response regarding the issue from Mazda.

I understand you worrying about your money, (see Injen GB thread) but jeez...hold it against the guy, much? He's not a big business and never claimed to be...most of us knew he was just starting up and these are the risks we take. There's no reason to ruin his life over an exhaust or intake.

Now..if Corey makes me look bad for saying all this then I'll have to take another trip down to TN and kick his Heineken, but my guess is he'll fix you all up.

Sorry if that came across harsh...I guess experience has taught me to be more patient in this type of situation.

All im saying is an e-mail goes a long way. If i was told there would be a 2 month delay I would have been ok with that, but at least I would have know what to expect.

JeRNut,

I totally understand the situation you are/were in. It happened to me with my honda, and the board I visisted for it. Someone was fabricating parts, I ordered one, he dissapeared. It was pretty much the same reason, the guy couldnt fund what he started. He eventually came back a month later, and said he was sorry, and explained what happened, and a few days later, he made good on what he said he would. I didn't mean that you should just forget about what happened, I know how frustrating it is. I just mean that you should give the guy a day to settle things, I know email is simple to do and only takes a minute but understand that he might have 50 people to send them to, and he might not know exactly who/what/where/why/when everything is shipping, etc. So now that he said he will straighten it out, just give him, a reasonable amount of time to do so. Or at least a reasonable amount of time to respond and explain whats going on. I'm not justifying anything, just stating that its easier to handle things when being reasonable and rational. Either way, it dosen't matter.

Edit: By the way, I don't know MemphisRacer, so don't think I'm taking his side or trying to help him because I'm his friend. I just know the situation, because I've been there and was trying to offer some input.

I know i should give the guy some time so when he told me it would be shipped in 5-6 days I gave him 4 weeks to produde the goods. that is 2 weeks over what it should have. If that is not reasonable then i guess in just an A@@Hole. I am no longer pissed as I have my exhaust on the way from another source.

all u guys who want to stop payment and teach MR a lesson are uncompassionate *****.
120 dollars is worth more to you than a wellbeing of another person.

greed is the ultimate illness of this country..........

Agreed  .. It is a shame. Being on the other side, I know what can happen. Now unfortunately, too many people pull the "I ran into hard times" card and it is hard for others to know if it is true or if it is just a cop out. It sucks for both parties, but hell, give him a chance to see if it is the truth before gunning him down. He already replied once- if he was goingto stick you guys, he wouldn't have. I know what it is like to answer 100 emails a day with questions and then there are the "where's my product and when will I have it?!?!" emails- I ran into issues with my E-MBC where I never got the supplies I paid for and it took from late Jan until now to get all the orders situated. Unfortunately, the "s*** happens" rule applies to all- buyers and sellers- and small, one person operations catch the most crap because of it. People have the mentality that they are dealing with a huge company who pays people just to kiss their ass, when they are only dealing with one person who has the same life's misfortunes as every other human on the face of the earth- family/friend deaths, relationship issues, financial hardships, etc- I've been through it all and it does affect the business- but sometimes you have to prioritize- if your life is falling apart, unfortunately- the last thing you want to do is answer to other peoples problems (whether you created them or not).. Hence the lack of responce. Then there are the times I have not answered immediately because I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel and I wanted to wait until I had the problem resolved only to have more "s***" happen..

This kind of stuff has made me think about saying "**** it" and getting a regular 9-5 and not worry about it on more than one occassion......
Joe
PS- wow- funny how this turned into me going off on my past problems :). I just know how things go and can relate to Coreys problems. Now if he never makes good on the deal, then you can cut his nuts off :). Just remeber- it is much harder being the vendor than it is being the customer- every b**** and gripe you have is 10 times harder on the supplier....

Those of you who are mad at the few that said they are going to stop payment need to calm down as well. Let's just say Corey never started this exhaust buy-in. Pretend he's a regular guy, on a regular day who loses his job...Now you can feel sorry for him and, like Dr. Sound, offer him money if your heart desires. But if he has other people's money(who expect a product), then loses his job, and uses everyone's money to keep himself afloat, then that is wrong on his part. That's where he should have stepped up to the plate and admitted there was going to be a delay. I'm sure everyone would have agreed to let him get back on his feet. I don't think any one here is that greedy.
Wanting something in return for paying $100+ in a promised amount of time IS NOT GREED. I may not be the poorest person in the world, but I sure as hell am not the richest. I work hard to support myself, and fix up my car(the one thing I love). I can't afford to just give away money. If he said he ran into some trouble and needed some extra time, fine. Like someone stated, it's like it's already spent. But if you receive nothing in return, one day you will need to put out more money to buy that part you wanted in the first place...I'm completely neutral as I hadn't invested any money yet(I was waiting to see people's actual reactions before I bought). Just trying to put a little different perspective on things...
Hey Joe, by the way...I finally got my gauges in, and I bought your FPR kit and MBC last week. I haven't gotten them yet. When should I expect them...WHEN, WHEN, WHEN???? J/K:p But seriously, I finally ordered them:) Took me longer to get the gauges than I thought it would...

PM me the order info and I will look to see where on the list it is. It may have been sent, it may be going out today, it may be one of the ones going out Monday- I have gotten a TON of orders the last few weeks and am about a week behind on everything. Thanks.
