Mazdaspeed 2003.5 Front Lip

Hello, i've been to the dealer today ( to drop of my winter tires so they can put them on my car, dont ask )... anyway there was a titanium MazdaSpeed there. I checked out the front bumper and i noticed that the front lip is just an add on. I asked the dealer if i could order it and he was not able to find the part number. It wasnt in his computer at all. Does anyone know where i can get this or the part number?

Also, anyone tried this with our fog lights? ( MP3 / 2003 MSP ). It seems as if the fog lights wouldn't fit anymore unless a bit of the plastic around the fog holes is cut off.

You have to "coax" the parts dept..

Ask them to see the entire bumper cover assmb. for the 2003.5 MSP and it'll show it (hopefully ... it might not be out just yet)

ALSO! W/ the fog light replacement, they won't fit... I did a visual test myself last weekend, you'll have to cut or get some smaller ones from PIAA

Well he had the whole front bumper picture on his computer. Wasn't on it. We checked all parts one by one and there was 1 part that didn't show on the picture, but it cost like 35$ canadian so we assumed it couldn't be it. Altough maybe the picture in the computer was for the 2003 and not 2003.5. ( But he did use the serial number to "find" the picture... but hey, my MP3 serial number still today comes up as invalid in all of their computers.... :bs: :wtf: ).

Anyhow i have written a few mails to some places see if they don't know the part number as they have better contacts with Mazda Usa than me.

I'll post more info as soon as i get it, i really want that lip i think its nicer than the autoexe lip but thats just my personal opinion.

I'll try to take measures tonight i'm going back to the dealer to pick up my car. ( See how much of it must be cut off <g> ). I like our big round fogs, don't feel like changing them. Maybe they can be pushed a bit back tough?

Part # 0000-86-c09-52 (In primer)

I seriously doubt you'll be able to get one from the dealer anytime soon. You'd probably have much better luck buying it off of a MSP owner who wants your fog lights. (Probably cheaper, as well!)

The part number for the 03.5 front air dam (already primered) is
0000-86-C02-00. There is not a price listed for it yet.

We don't seem to have the same part number? Altough my english isn't 100% perfect so i don't know if its called a front air dam.

Anyway i'll ask the dealer tomorrow. Altough they should be able to get them since some MSP owner could break his any time and want to replace it.

What MSP owner would want to remove it? I think it looks real nice Anyone? I'll buy it off you anytime!

I got that part # from a post by "1garnetredlx". Supposedly, he works in a Mazda parts department.
I did another search and also found the part # you have listed given by another guy on the forum.
So, who knows?!!!

The reason I said you probably won't be able to get it from a dealer anytime soon is because they'll probably require a Mazdaspeed VIN #. I've read that they did that with MP3 parts for a while.

I'll find out tomorrow I need to pickup my car. They didn't fix it today because they couldn't find my lock-nut key thing that was on my back seat !!! Worse thing is the mechanic put it there. If i could i'd never go to a dealer again.

I tried doing a search before starting this thread, didn't find any of the info you said. I feel stupid guess I didn't search for the right keywords

As for the VIN, we'll see. The dealer ows me for being incompetent. lol.

What do you mean already primered? That doesn't mean painted does it? Other than the cost of the lip, how much would it cost to have it painted?

Ok, well i talked to my dealer and he found the lip part in the computer.

It was called a windsplitter. I have a plastic wind splitter on my MP3 but i assume that the one on the 2003.5 MSpeed is that bottom lip? Or is there something under that too?

Anyhow it was part 0000-86-C02-00.

It was 355$ canadian. I didn't ask him if he could order it but i'm pretty sure this price is "dealer inflated" like any of there other prices so i'll try to find it elsewhere, until i get desperate

Funny they call it the windsplitter again. Almost sounds like the 2003/MP3's piece. But at 355 bucks it can't be that silly black plastic thing.

I was really hoping that someone would try sticking fogs in this lip by now. Mine still aren't here???? And I have zero faith in my dealer to install them correctly without cutting the crap out of the lip.

I guess its cheaper than the autoexe one, ( it was 355$ canadian dont forget ). And i even like it better, i don't want my car with big plastic pieces everywhere i think this lip is just perfect, will set my MP3 apart a bit more now that those mazda retards made the Blue Mica color the most comon color in the Mazda car line. I read somewhere that titanium is going to be common too. Only orange now that will probably stay rare, maybe thats the only color that will stay like since not everyone likes it. ( Laser Blue Mica and Titanium people like too much ). But who knows they'll just stick it on some new model to make it more appealing one of these days. ( I talk way too much for nothing haha )

Btw what fogs did you order? I'm hopping someone will install MP3/MSP fogs in there before i get that lip too And if the dealer screws up installing the fogs, at least you'll still be under warranty no?

there is a comparaison between the 2003 MSP bumper and the 2003.5 bumper with the lip.
The difference is small ( it looks a bit more different in real life )

I have aftermarket angel eye/fog lights to replace my factory P5 lights (same as mp3 lights) and they are smaller so they should fit....now...i gotta find someone who will sell me their 2003.5 lip....hmmmmmmm

You will definately need to supply a vin#. I tried to order a couple of Mazdaspeed mufflers and they wanted a vin number for the damn things!

Can you give them any 2003.5 number? Ie you write one down from a car parked say... in a parking lot!

And tell them your ordering 2-3 of them for the next time you get into an accident? hehe.

Unless you know the parts person they will probably want to see the car. It's horseshit but that's the way it is. I work at the friggen dealership and they won't send me the Mazdaspeed muffler without the vin. They probably had to do the same thing with your rim.
