Mazda6 V6 automanual 6spd...$21k

I'm new to these boards, and considering buying a Mazda6 tomorrow. As I was reading some of these threads, I have been reading about people finding mazda6speeds for like 22k?! wtf. please tell me i'm wrong because I couldn't get any dealers to budge lower than 21k for a 2007 V6 mazda 6 VE/with a moon roof? Am I getting ripped off; or am I just reading these posts wrong?

It all depends on the area. The 07 Speed 6s don't sell as cheap right now. I really haven't seen anyone get an 07 Speed 6 Sport for 22-23k, or a GT for 24-25k like last year, and many who did got leftover 06 models that were already used in the market, or demo models with 2000 or more miles on them already is what sold. Where I live the dealershps always had tons of Speed 6s (NJ/PA area) so they had hot deals throughout.

Check Edmunds and make sure that quote is WELL below invoice. Remember, the MSRP of a regular 6 can be as high as a Speed 6 Sport if loaded with all the goodies, so from what I can see, it appears that's a damn good deal. Check Edmunds with all your options to be sure. If it's 1500 or more below invoice, you got yourself a super deal, so enjoy. :)

I got my new 07 ms6 gt for 2k below invoice in march of this year

2k below invoice on a GT is about $26,500. Super deal for an 07. I picked mine up for $3500 below invoice in July of last year. You can see a drop off in the deals compared to one year ago, likely because they produced less in 07, and aren't forced to unload them as quickly. The incentives are lower, and the lease deal is much higher. You probably have one of the best deals for 07, but it's the area. NJ and PA have always had a large inventory of Speed 6s, so the prices are always better. Where there are less of them, is where it's hard to get the great deals.

I highly doubt you could have gotten them to take another $1500 off at this time of year. From here on in though, the price will drop, so it's possible there will be better deals coming down the road. :)
