Mazda5 review from Drivingsports channel

They keep harping on the fact that the GT doesn't have electric seats or power doors. To me, I didn't want these things because they are just one more thing that can break (though I don't have the GT which is what they tested).

LOL to the testing done, lateral Gs :D.

It seemed to be a fair assessment for the type of testing they perform (dunno)

Now, in all fairness, the 5MT is reported to hit 0-60 MPH in 8.9s, with that you can smoke a soccer mom's Windstar @ a grocery store parking lot with no issues (lol2)

I finally had some minutes to see it calmly.

..."if you are a retired school teacher..."

..."hockey dad"...

(lol2)

Now, as per the power doors, I have 2 kids and never needed them, come on...

I wouldn't take their word on it. They sure just had a good time driving that 5, which only proves that it is a great car. BTW, who says it is a sport car? What were they trying to prove?

Soul of a sports car. Not a sports car, just a car with the soul of a sports car.

I lent my 2006 GT 5 speed to a friend who's Audi A4 was in the shop. He made all sorts of jokes about looking like a soccer mom in the "mini-van", asking if he could pickup some milk for me, and other such stuff. I grinned and bore it.

When he came back from his errand, his first comment was "Wow, that thing is pretty quick, does it have a V6?". I felt completely vindicated.

Those two nerds should be reviewing PC components or something. Not vehicles, especially enthusiast vehicles. And when you are a new dad having to choose between a mini-van, a Kia Rondo and a Mazda5...it IS an enthusiast vehicle.

Those guys are jacks and their low budget car reviews plainly sucks. You are correct Katner, those idiots should be reviewing PCs or something in the like... not cars. So they got 11.47 seconds in a 0-60 mph dash, did they even noticed that their "test" was done with an iPhone, on a mountainous road, with snow tires on in winter and with two 400lbs or so of occupants. The last time I read about a 0-60 mph test it was done under fair weather conditions, dry smooth straight road with actual proffesional equipment, all weather or summer tires and with one 200lbs (tops) occupant.

Those guys should go play with their 8==D instead!

How the hell are you going to get accurate readings from an iphone??
