So my P5 is falling apart. The hood has rust, rear fenders both have rust and my wheels are falling apart.

I was thinking of reviving this car but at minimal cost if possible. Even used parts would be better than what I have. Any suggestions to where I should look?

I'm in Toronto Canada and new to this forum btw.

The only thing I can say good about this car is the engine and handling is superb which is why I want to restore. :)

You may be able to find a used P5 that's in reasonable shape with a bad engine for cheap,... Keep your eye on kijiji,.. There's tons of used ones in the GTA.

Doing an engine swap may be your easiest/cheapest/fastest route.

Welcome, I live in Aurora ON, so not too far from you.

Rust repair really depends on how far its gone. Most cases, your best bet is cut, weld and paint. otherwise you run the risk of it coming back very shortly. If you post some pics I can tell you what is your best bet.

Did you ever coat the underbody of your car? Have you seen its condition? If not, I would check before I put any money into it.

i've got a silver hood and i'm in barrie. its silver, no rust just some normal stone chips and whatnot. $40. i can even meet you part way to toronto for a bit more $$ to cover gas. i'll send you a PM.

the fixmyrust link above is what i was going to suggest for the rear fenders too. the link below is a company in markham, i've considered calling them to see if a cash deal and pick up would be possible for less than their list price.
