Mazda 5 1.8 Touring 2006
Hi,

I have a delicate problem, I need to replace middlepipe (the longest between the catalyst and damper in the back), but no way I'm paying 1000US for a new one when only the pipe is bad.
I've been looking at an pre-used wich is in perfect condition, but I do not know if they will fit.
My own 1.8 Touring looks the same as the picture I have on the 2.0 FS pipe, BUT Mazda here in Sweden says that it's not the same art nr and that the probebly will not fit (although the picture for the replacement from Mazda, does not look the same as mine)

Have anyone of you any idea if they will fit. The propotion for angels and distance comparing the picture looks the same.

Best regards
Bobby

Could it be that the Mazda 5 2006-2010 are using the same converter with small difference?

this is mainly a US site, so you may not get the info you need. However, can't a muffler shop just weld in a replacement piece for fairly cheap?

Hi, well the only one that I can get from SWE is Mazda original converter I'm afraid. I've spoken to basically all the dealers (it's not a big country) and the only way is either to build one or Mazdas. I have one 'cheap' for 370US but it comes from a Mazda 5 2.0 2008, schematics/manual for spareparts shows that the screws and so on are identical but I'm more worried about angles and length (even they look identical) but I need a confirm.

PS: Mazda 5:s converter should be the same regarding the lenght, angle and so on.
