Magnetic Bra vs. Hood Bra

I have recently purchased a 2003.5 MSP and need some sort of protection for my hood, due to all the construction I drive through each day. If anyone has any experience with either the magnetic bra on the MSP or the standard Bra I would really appreciate it. Please note I have no interest in the 3M stuff. Thnaks:)

You'd have to get a custom bra made since Mazda doesn't have an OEM one. I'd definately go for a bra and I've thought about doing just that but I can't let myself cover up the paint. :D

Stay away from magnetic bras though. Two of the cars my mom/dad have had were scratched up by magnetic stuff. The first car was deeply scratched by a magnetic bra and the second was a truck which had magnetic signs on the doors and it scuffed the door up quite a bit.

I'd rather have a rock chips than scratches, but that's just me.

I'd stay away from a magnetic bra (though there HAS to be a punch line in there somewhere...)

We have a set of the magnetic flames - had 'em on wife's cabrio just for kicks, took 'em off frequently to shine n wax... had to take 'em off when wet once and stuck the wet magnetic material on the freezer in the garage... lo and behold, the freezer is now rusting since the mag flames captured salty water against the paint of the freezer! While car paint and steel is much better protected than your average home appliance, its just a matter of time... I'm with t3ase, I'd rather rock chips than scuffing, scratching, and an unattractive bra... but that's just me.
