JK, but kinda not. I know JDM Honda seats are a bit more snug than USDM.

I'll get seats made for the Mazda Scrum (cryhard)

Yeah, we have the JDM Type R Recaros in the Type R... good for autoX/track days... sucks when you're driving to Topeka, KS in them....

the clubman hits the door too. The MAIN clearance problem is that the back of the clubman is up against the seatbelt tower. I've been told that the forza will slide about all the way back. The clubman doesn't b/c it hits the seatbelt tower :(

No, that's Ok if you interrupt, Muff. Let's all talk about your car now. You know, this thread's not all about you... What? It is? s***.

I think you guys underestimate the junk in the trunk I'm packing (yes, that can be twisted around to sound terribly ghey.) I've got a 38" waist. There are not a lot of race seats built for that. Shoulder width is a problem too.

...i have a 36" waist and like i said very comfy....actually one of the better seats i have sat in. I had a turbo mr2 come to work one day fully decked out and it had some sweet bride seats. I went to go sit in it to check out the stack cluster it had and my hips wouldnt fit past the top of the thigh bolsters

Hmmm...maybe I've got wider hips? I don't know. I can fit in there, but it's far from comfortable. Definitely squeezing me in all the wrong places. Then again, once we were on the course it didn't bother me. Maybe Muff just left his butt plug on the seat before I got in.

With a 36" waist I found the Forza to be pleasingly squeezing for me. I daily drove the miata most of last year like that.

The Momo Start seat fits, and that thing is schweet.

We ran that in the Wrec Miazda the first year and I loved it.

Now we have a Kirkey since my brother has wider hips than I do, and since he is the driver.......

The Momos are abt $50-100 more than the corbeaus tho.

Awwww...poor maffy. You just have to know the right people. I got a pair for about $150 each brand spankin' new.(alright)

talked to danny about the supertrap. he doesnt have any of the plates for it but the inlet is 2.25 lmk if you are still interested so i can get a price

naa, if he doesn't have the plates I know it'll be too loud. And if I'm gonna get them, I may as well just get a decent muffler that'll pass sound. Thanks a lot tho.

Alright, got her aligned today (thanks Korey!)

I'm sitting at approx 2.5* camber all around, and I've got 0 toe rear and a smidge (0.1*) of toe on the front. It's nice to be able to drive her w/o having to steer to the left to go straight lol.

Now the fun part: Driving home my clutch hit the floor (and stayed...) twice driving back. On Korey's (Shadow102) suggestion I checked the fluid (I really should have thought of that by myself lmao). 2 observations. 1: It was sitting @ the 'low' mark. 2: The fluid was BLACK and murky. Almost looked thick, it's gross. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that if that's not THE problem, it's definately a major part of it. I'll be bleeding it tomorrow afternoon after work. I'll post impressions afterwards.

Alright, thanks. I'm going to be swapping transmissions here soon (hopefully). I've got a new one sitting in the storage closet, so I guess I should go ahead and pick one up and do it while I have the new tranny off the car. For now I'm going to do a full bleed of the thing and hope it holds.

Thanks for the tip :)

Whats wrong with the current transmission?

I just replaced mine recently but that was because I wanted more than 4th gear and that was the only one working on my old transmission.

To just get a few more weeks out of it there is a good chance you could just fill up the clutch fluid and drive it like that for a while.

The slave is not that bad to replace even if you still have the transmission on but it is a little easier to go ahead and do it while you are doing the transmission.

One of the 'return springs' (I'm just making up names here, I know nothing about transmissions. There could be magic in there as far as I'm concerned lol) is busted. In neutral, push it towards the passenger side and it'll pop right back to center. Push it towards the dirver's side and it barely returns. There's a HUUUGE dead spot in the shifter and makes the 2-3 shift pretty touchy since it doesn't automatically line up like it should. I know that side should be a little softer, but it should still self center itself. Also, I got it for relatively cheap, so I figured it was worth it to do that, the clutch / pressure plate / throwout / pilot bearing / rear main and all the shifter boots while I'm at it.

Yeah I picked up my used transmission locally for $75.
It took a weekend in the driveway to swap it all out but I was just doing the transmission since I had done all the other stuff 30K before :(

Ah, gotcha. Mine pretty much needs every maintainance (and some non-maintenance) items on the miata check list lol. A lot have been taken care of, but I'm working through the rest slowly. No garage ftl
