Lucas Slick Mist

So I took it to the car wash then used that "Lucas Slick Mist" loving the way she's looking. Anyone ever used this stuff or something similar?

What is it? Wax, Ceramic, silicon?

I bought a bottle of it years ago. I think I used it once. I'm not saying it isn't good. But I had 3 products to try at the time, including Wizards Mist-N-Shine and Duragloss 951.

I ended up liking the Duragloss the most, followed by the Wizards.

Unfortunately, the only one that survived the freezing garage temps was the Wizards. Seriously, bring your products inside and don't let them freeze or they will separate and be ruined.

Fast forward to today: these were polymer-based gloss and slickness enhancers, things we call "quick detailers" or "drying aids" today. They only last until the next wash. There are much better products if you want something more durable. You've no doubt seen all the ceramic spray sealants everywhere.

its like a speed wax... spray on wipe off.. after doing yesterday, got some texas dust all over the car and took a really soft shimmy and barely touched the car and it was sparkling again!

Make sure you never wipe off dust without using a lubricative liquid. Those particles are abrasive and are what cause swirls.

The same goes for the interior gloss black pieces, and the acrylic lens over the gauge cluster.

Just don't want to see anyone's car suffer like some I've seen on Reddit...

I wash my car with Jay Leno's orange wash from Walmart, and finish up with slick mist either regular, or the ceramic. I think i prefer the regular and its easier to find.
Keeps the paint feeling slick and helps me remove any water marks or water that is dripping down the paint after drying. Good stuff IMO.

Yeah I always noticed they are good for that. These cars have lots of places water collects and drips out.
