Locked up Mp5 :(

Whenever I get a new car I RTM cover to cover, I remember reading that the keyless entry will not work with a key in the ignition.

I remember it not working when I tried it before.

Eh? Hope you got it open. But not to be mean or anything, but just how exactly did you lock them in?

The remote does not work with it on. Do you normally lock the doors with the switch inside the car, as oppose to simply using the remote.

I try to make it a habit of ONLY using the remote. That way this doesnt happen.

:( I feel the pain, it's the bond that all our cars share. Whenever I see another P5 that has dents and what not, it brings tears to my eyes...:'(

After waiting for 4 hours...cause My dealer closed at 7 and sales ppl have no idea about roadside assistance phone number. Took me awhile to figure out the actual phone number for mazda associate towing company.
I started my car 6 and towing car came 9:40 and it took 30secs to open the door.
of course, it was free.
who the heck is that chick in your sig... with the big earrings.
pic of my girl.
I did little photoshop work to make her even more pretty.

Hey!

Good point in hiring an attorney to cover your ass. Didn't think about that one. I can give you Randy's number anytime you want it - of course, offline. Just let me know.

Regarding my car, I have realized that I wouldn't mind getting an axle back, better the RS*R catback, and Tokico shocks/spring combination of sorts.

More importantly, get your s*** together, so we can roll together.

- Brian :D

P.S. For all you morones, Bijou's name is Chris and HE is a guy, not a girl (i.e. avatar picture is his girlfriend). :wtf:

yeah the remote does not work when the engine is running, you have to use the key. One feature i like about the car is that if you have your car locked and you hit the unlock button by mistake while your walking away 30 seconds later it locks itself back.

The car should NOT allow you to lock the doors when the key is in the ignition except with a key. I really wished they had this feature because I also locked myself out of the car while it is running when I went to clear all the snow off. Which really sucked because my house was locked and the house keys are on my car keychain. 7:30 in the morning at -25 degrees. Damn I was cold!

I have to get another copy of key too!
Why is it my copy key starts the engine but won't open the doors.
hmm...is this common?

damn, that sucks....hopefully you are in your car by now.

if its any comfort i was Bondo-ing the guide holes on the back of my mp5 today and ended up epoxying a piece of styrene onto my index finger. After i ripped it off i got a giant blister, looks so gross.

ouch... this is why i also carry the spare key in my wallet... best thing my friend taught me.. hehe... never had to use it thou..~~

hope ur car's alrite but any over heating??

if I lose my keys... the car will *NOT* disarm.

EVER

so I learn not to lose my keys :D

besides, the car unlocks when I pull the handbrake if the keys are in.... and automatically locks when I leave.. so yeah, the potential is there for me to leave the keys in.. but you get in the habit.. remove keys.. put in pocket. :)

all these fancy shmancy featuers are from an alarm system of course.

Yeah, when I turn off my car, I remove my keys and just drop them in my lap. If I get out, and they are still there, they fall out (which never happens!). And if I get out while the car is running, I let at least one of my windows down.
