anyone know where i could get those lenses that go in the trunk part? i was thinking about doing something like that.

I was going to do that myself. I was going to get the lights and the housing from a junk yard and have it welded into my trunk etc. etc.

:cough:poseur!:cough

I guess it could be cool, but don't try to make it look exactly like the IS

I thought Erebuni had only the GS300 inner tails. My friend got a price quote for the IS300 conversion. Let me ask him.

interesting... well.. im gonna need a lot of body work done anyways so if i add on a couple more things.. i might be able to get it done fairly cheap.

that's cheap.. u sure that's not just for the lights??

cuz there's cutting and repainting involved

i remember i was quoted around $1,000 before cuz of the labor

yeah, it would be that hard, but for a good look, you'd definatly want to reapaint. For best look and matching paint, the whole car would eb best, but just the rear would do.

I think it would look schweet, cause it's be ISish, but still much different, and individual. And it's not really a full conversion. Even if you do do the whole tail assembly, it'd still be different. I think if you kept regular pro tails, and the IS iner light, it'd look the best though.

I wanted to do IS300 conversion for the longest time, then get a mp3 tag and an is300 tag and call it a MP300!!!

I really want to switch the Mazda6 or 3's headlights into my car and I've been thinking of switching the gauge's and gauge panel from the 3 into it also. I love how the 3's cluster looks.

conversions = rice

that's a pretty generalized statement there. not that i like conversions, but i wouldn't call a classic car with tail lights from another classic rice. it's the same thing. personally, most conversions these days are ugly, but at least they're trying to be somwhat creative.

EDIT: wow, i don't make any sense. what i was trying to say was that i've seen some nice old hotrods with headlights from one car and taillights from another and they didn't look stupid. yes it's different with newer cars, and i still don't make any sense.
