Just got a clean 2006 M5.
I've had this Clarion amp/sub combo for about 20 years. I dont remember how I had it wired because the last time I dealt with a car stereo was about 20 years ago (rolleyes) and of course the install manual is long gone.
There are two ways to get the signal in to this, Input A a six pin plug (of which only 4 pins are used), - and Input B line-in RCA jacks.
Here are two simple and stupid questions: If I use Input A, do I just tap in to speaker wires on the back of my stock head unit? If I use Input B, do I just tap in to the speaker wires with an RCA pigtail or will I need a Line Out Converter? Or am I completely wrong about tapping in to speaker wires?
Any help for this old noob would be great!
