I was thinking about these, but it looked like you need a new mounting bracket. and dont know how cops will react even with the correct numbers...

hmm i got one from a friend a long time ago. but now that i found this site, im gonna custom one. the katakana is pretty much set. u can put two small numbers on the top and 5 characters on the bottom, either letters, numbers, and/or the dash (-) counts as another character. im planning to use PRO-5 for my plate. i have seen an IS300 before on a Japanese plate, i was like how the hell?!?! but now we know hehe. bout mounting, Japanese plates are larger than american plates, at least the hawaii ones. i think u can order them without drill holes and make your own, but for sure these are illegal if u mount them. i almost got pulled over for having it mounted on my front. haha happy shopping - chris

Check your local state laws. Some states don't require a front license plate so you can put on whatever the hell you want.

In Massachusetts no, but some cops are nice. Every now and then you might get a 50 dollar fine, happened to my friends Tiburon.

the real deal JDM plates have:

-green font
-wider screw holes
-the plates are longer
-no trim outline
-back plate has a DMV lock for a screwhole

if you want to use real jdm plates for the mp5 you can remove the black plate brackets...the screwholes holding them in are the correct size for japanese plates.
