Is it ok to buff off wax with a damp cloth?

just wondering. that way i can wash out the buffed wax if the towel is getting too much on it, and itll be easier. jdm sam says he did it and its fine..any input?

just buy a few flannel/terry clothes and use those. i dont think you want to use anything damp as it will just cause streaks. just remember to flip the cloth frequently to a clean side as you're buffing out the wax

Agreed. No harm, but a lot of potential streaks.

Micro Fiber Towels.... (wash in mild detergent, and NEVER use dryer sheets or fabric softener on any towels that come into contact with your car's surface!!! - This will cause scratches)

I use Meguiar's products mostly; but a detailing expert friend of mine and I, are going to be applying a new product in the next few weeks. I will report on it at that time.

When applying a polish, you generally want to apply just a section at a time, buff it off, and then go on to the next section. Same goes with the cleaners, such as Meguiar's #1 Cleaner. For wax application, you want to let it dry nicely to a haze. Then; buff off with a nice Micro Fiber Towel - turning frequently.
