Intake question

I was doing some searching and i couldnt find my answer , i have a 99 lx 1.6 and i need to replace the stock intake hose cause its broken so i figured i'd rather drop a SRI in there rather than the stick hose again. so my question is , will this intake fit

reason im asking is because im looking all over ebay and i cant find any for the 1.6 model , all i can can find are for the 1.8. is there any diff in the maf between the 1.6 and the 1.8 models?

waaiiittt thats not for 1.6L the 1.8 and 2.0L guy can take off the OEM MAF tunnel, and clamp it to intake tubing. our MAF need a mount ON the intake tubing.

Thats why im asking , cause i cant find any for the 1.6l in ebay.any idea where can i find one?

protephile on here has simotas. weapon r are on ebay or u can search. injen has one too. simotas work best.

injen = junk performance wise from my experience, it causes some bad hesitation. good looking tho and good sound, however i believe Injen stopped making one for the 1.6L but it think a couple companies still have a few left. That intake will work if you get a piece from autozone by spectre its a tube that has a MAF hole and mounting bracket on it and will need two more rubber couplers and clamps for each side of that. How that intek comes though it will not work.

im kinda confused. ur saying autozone sells a MAF tube like the 1.8L and 2.0L for the 1.6L?

no, its just a piece of pipe with the hole and screw holes in it to mount the MAF into then you just connect that piece either between the filter and pipe or in between the two pipes

Talk to Protephile. I bought my intake and I have exactly what you got: 99 LX. Works great. A b**** to install but it workes great once its on. I paid $80 shipped. Great price so talk to him.
