Well today its hot as s*** here in VA we installed my injen intake and Joe p MBC today. Not very hard to do it took us about 1hr on the intake system. And about 10mins on the MBC.

Now the injen is very loud but sounds great blow off valve is very loud now (stockbov). Might have to drill a hole in the injen for the FP kit.

Now to the MBC wow what a dam problem this has become you cant seem to adjust this enough to get the boost i want i had it at 7 psi but didnt notice much difference in power.

So i kept on playing with it and checked the boost level on highway in 3rd and 4th gear boostn at 8 peak then drops to about 6 to 7 PSI.

Pulls very hard in 3rd So i decided to turn it up more now its at 9 holding there some but dropping to 7-8 psi. Have yet to hit the fuel cut on the car hasnt got to 10psi yet but dont want to blow it up so ill leave it 9psi.

I gotta tell ya the stock bov is now super loud from the injen makes alot of noise whissling sound then pop bov hits. WOW!!!!

if you want to run 10psi, you need to adjust the boost guage to peak at 12. i believe that the charge pipe system has a 2psi drop overall. so to run 10 you need to have the mbc at 12.

yeah, before my radiator ****** up, I was peaking around 10, and droping to 7-8... NOT cool.. but aparently, its what happens...

So how loud exactly?! Did you ever had just the K&N filter installed to begin with? If so how much louder compare to that? Anyone?!

Thinking of ordering an Injen unit but I don't want it to be too damn loud though. Thanks.

Mine is steady at 9.5psi the whole time. I would check for leaks.

How did you measure to see if its steady? Is this from pulls on the highway or 2nd/3rd gear pulls..
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get an accurate reading..

I tried it in 1st-2nd it read 10psi dropped to 7 then i tried it in 3rd to 4th gear it stayed at 10 then dropped to 8-9 pulled really hard just cant see any difference in power yet i mean you should feel 5psi to 10psi dont you think. It just feels the same to me.

will check for vacum leaks. Will run it at the track on thursday to see what she runs. in 1/8th mile hope she goes 9.50 or quicker it ran 10.20-10.01 stock

If I ever decide to put my MBC back on when I get my car back, Im going to completely re do my boost vacuum lines.. Im talking from the wastegate, all the way to the intake manifold.... NO leaks will be on that bi'itch....

Is that what you think is the problem, the stock lines are leaking? I checked mine and they seem ok, but I guess the stock lines aren't that great...I'm just trying to keep everything as stock as possible..
