I have been browsing i-club and learning a bit about Scoobies. If you could have either the 2004 WRX Sti or the 2004 Evo (Money being irrelevant as the WRX Sti looks to be a bit more) which would you get and why? The latest worry seems to be over whether the new WRX will get the twin scroll turbo. The Evo will have it. Anybody have any opinions on these two? I will be getting one of them in 12 to 18 months. I love my pro 5 for daily driving and plan on keeping it. May even go FM or Spool once the warranty expires. I just think I will want a real fire breather when they get here.

i would take a the sti...well i've always been a fan of subies...boxer engines are always fun to drive. also, the sti is somewhat more of an exclusive car...the evolution will be produced in high numbers...but of course the sti is still kinda ugly...so it's kind of a toss up...but i'd still go with the sti

Really, you think? Have you seen the new 2004 Pics? The whole new front looks awesome to me! I think similarly to you . I wanted to hear opinions in case I had missed something as I never looked into Subus or Mitsus until recently.

well...the only thing is will the new facelift really be out by 2004?? i do like the new face lift but i've been hearing that it could be out by then and it might not be out by then...if it is...then definitely the suby

Sundevil - I saw a post today on i-club where someone posted a scan of a memo from an Su of CA marketing office. It stated that as of March I think the dealers would have to start ordering the 2004 model. It went on the explain the differences in the 2004MY. They listed the new front and all the new cometic changes. The WRX should be here by summer. There are any number of rumors when the Sti might be here. I am hoping by this time next year. I personally would get the EVO. I think the scoobies are ugly now and the new ones look better but...the front also lookes kinda like a Corolla from head on ( the lights mainly). Well a Corolla/Hyundia. Anyone else think that? Besides the EVO is gonna be a major beast!!! There will also be lots and lots of parts out to make it more so.

yeah...when i first saw the new sti i thought it looked exactly like the hyundai wrc car...but i still love scoobies so i would still go with the sti...i don't really like the new front end of the evolution that's going to be coming over here looks too much like it's smiling at me...

i would get the EVO, mainly cause of looks, i love the older 2.5rs looks get one of those and throw the STi drivetrain in it. but for all wheel drive turbo'ed four cylnders, I would rather have my Escort Cosworth. its a better sleeper, i should have one in a couple years.
