I Got A Ticket!!!

ok here's what happened. I was on a stop light and a Sherif mobile was on front of me except he was on the right lane. A car from the other intersection passed and was speeding. I saw the cop's radar gun sticking out of his window but can't move coz there was a car in front of him. So the light turned green then I noticed the cop didn't move then I passed him and guess what?? He went behind me and turned his lights and that blinding spotlight on me so I pulled over. I was trying to figure out what I did wrong then he told me I don't have a license plate in front. I was so pissed coz I've been driving for almost 5 months now with out fron plates and hundreds of cops saw me alread since we live near the Sherif hehe. Now here's the funny yet made me mad, on my ticket this is the description of my violation

"STREET RACER DETAIL"

Man does my sport soccer-mom mobile looks like a street racer car? Why me?!!! Hehe there's millions of ricers in our area and why pick on me hehe oh well just wanna share

BTW. The ticket also say that "Its not fixable" that means I can't go to court and show them I put the plates.

Dont sweet it though they are normally just a fine, no points. Some judges if you choose to go will even ignore the ticket it you prove you put the plate back on.

What the hell does "street racer detail" mean ? That's very vague ,as a Canadian I don't know much about US traffic laws ,You would think that a ticket needs a law code on it for it to be valid .

Street Racer Detail? What does that mean, that you didn't have a front license? It doesn't sound like it at all. If the offense and what's written on the ticket don't match, GO TO COURT and fight it!!

They often group traits of "street racers" togther. By having bigger exhaust, neon, stickers, gauges...basically any proud in your car then your a street racer

I've never had a ticket, but i tell ya i also have a 02 mitsubishi lancer oz ralley, (http://r-gfx.net/myride.html) and when i lived in knoxville, tn i couldn't go a week without getting pulled over for stupid s***, but i never got a ticket for any of it.
Reasons i got pulled over
- I thought you were rolling on flat tires
- You were following that car kinda close
- You were speeding, ya need to slow it down buddy
- I know your young, and ya like to have these lil run ins with other cars, this is just a warning don't do it tonight, cuz if i catch ya your going to jail.
- I just wanted to check out your car, what is it?
- Your driving a lil agressive tonight don't you think?
- Your exhaust is to loud tone it down :wtf: I was in a parking garage!!!
- take it to a track!
I also had the cops come to my house just after i had installed my injen CAI. I was revving up in my driveway and recording the sound for the us lancer forums, and a neighbor called the cops on me for noise polution, but sense cop didnt see it they couldn't give me a ticket.
all of the above except the last is harrassment, i finally ended up calling the police station and warning them that if they pull me over next time it better be legitiment or im filing suit. I didn't have any more runnins for about 2 weeks then i moved to maryland.
By Law they have to have a legitamate reason for pulling you over if speed is the issue they have to tell you how fast u were going and how fast the limit is in the area, so the above were he said going a lil fast there, thats just harrassment cuz if i was going fast he woulda ticketed me. anyways,

Fix it tickets! BAH! I just found out today that in 1 week, my license will be suspended for 30 days, cuz I got a speeding ticket for "Excess of 100mph". :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
In CA, you get a mandatory 30 day susp., $400+ fine, and 2 points on your license, not to mention what this will do to my ins!

I guess I shouldn't complain though. I could very well have gotten a Aggravated DUI that night, but the cop was EXTREMELY(let me stress that again, EXTREMELY) cool. (Long story, I won't bore you all with the details of my idiocy that night.)

Let's just take a tip from Foggy: NEVER EVER, EVER, EVER DRIVE AFTER DRINKING!

I am talking with lawyers as we speak to see if there is any possibility of getting it reduced down to a normal ticket, but it will cost me about $750 to hire one.

I was so bent about the dealer punching holes in my front bumper that I went back and talked to them about it. Anyway, since I had the holes I figured I might as well have a custom plate:
