How do you remove p5 door sills????

i got momo door sills and need to remove the stock front ones from the car.

I tried just yanking on em but they seem to be bolted in somehow. I pulled up and peeked into the crack and saw this white plastic thing underneath....seems to be connected onto it.

anyone got any tips on how to take it off?

dunno if you all got different mp5's but i got a 03 one...i don't think they changed the sill design though

they look alright but i jsut want to fill my interior with Momo stuff, lol

before you go and yank your stock ones out....you might want to see exactly how those fit first.....why I say that is the stock sills not only cover the sills...but they go up and over the inside edge of the car...the cover the wiring harness that runs along that side of the car...not to mention connects together with the post cover...and the kick panels.....

the front sill has three clips....and the rears have two....I had mine out this last weekend doing some wiring work.

dammit...thats what i thought.

i may have to use a razor saw or dremel to cut away the front part so i can leave the part that covers all the wires. =(

aren't these sills SPECIFICALLY for your car? if so.....are you sure they aren't supposed to just COVER the existing one? and maybe attach with double sided tape ? there are some around like that I have seen......I would think twice about cutting up the stock ones.....

no they aren't specifically for the p5.

they are a "universal" fit. i just bought em to Momo-out my interior, lol. =P

they should stick on with double sided tape but i am worried about the bumps on the stock sills keeping them from mounting on strongly and securely.

ill have to see when i have them in hand.... =(

sand down the bumps on the stock sill and mount.. i have seen the momo sills and i dont think they are thick enought to cause a problem if u were to just put them on top -=).

did u figure otu a solution. my door sills should be here soon.. and i think i have a way to do it.. if u wanna wait for me ill take before and after pics and send them to you along with how i do it.. if u already did it.. lemme kno the route u took and any problems/sucess u had..

i won the auction last week but papypaled them this sunday. The package has not yet arrived at my apartment and i hope it comes before friday so i can bring it home and give it a shot.

here is a pic of the custom "protege" door sills:

the pic is bad, the biggest one they had so you can't really tell if they chopped the stock door sill or if they stuck it on top. It seems to fit on pretty flush so i think they chopped the stock sill or they had some custom inner covers made

you don't need to cut anything to put theirs on. it just sticks on top of the factory ones with double sided tape.
which ones did you get? momo sills or the ones you posted?

i got the momo sills but posted pics of those as an example.

if it looks that clean i guess ill jsut double side tape the momo ones too, lol
