I had some fiasco last night where i ended up putting too much oil in my car like a dumbass. Quick question.... how bad is it truly if you put too much in? Is the care driveable still? SHould i empty some out immediatey?

Thanks, --Bryan

empty it out ASAP.....even though you are in no BIG danger you are going to want to empty it. When I over filled my old car I just felt like I had power loss. Just empty it out.

AZ Speed is correct..

I doesn't hurt THAT much, but it's bad for your vehicle.

This is now a good time to change to synthetic Mobil 1 10w30 or Amsoil or whatever you choose! :D

It's not ver bad but you will definitely see a performance decrease and it does wear on the engine. You'll start to foam up the oil which will decrease the oils ability to lube. This is done by the crankshaft which thrashes in the oil and hinders it's ability to rotate giving you a performance decrease

just a quick question about the whole oil changing thing. are you guys changing your own oil or having the dealer do it. my dealer told me i had to bring it in or they would " here comes the issue again" void the all powerful warranty. just wondering cause i would rather do it myself then pay them monkeys $35 and give me a loose oil fitler or something.

 Dammit do I hate it when stealerships try to pull :bs: like that. They are full of s*** -- take it to a different stealer from this point forward. Most people here change their own oil (I think), and there's no way the stealer can void your warrenty for that unless it is outrageously obvious that the car died because you never changed the oil. If you're REALLY parenoid about it, you could go through the hassle of saving all of your receipts for the oil and filter until the warrenty is up ... but come on, who's going to go through that trouble?

read your manual. the dealership cannot void warranty because you do not follow their oil checkup pattern. tell them they are a bunch of liars and you are reporting them to mazda, see what happens.

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha-a voided warranty cuz u changed the oil? YEAH RIGHT! i cant see how that is, damn, must mean every car my family has owned had a voided warranty-they just want ur $30 every 3000 miles...

yeah i know john finger mazda is about as crooked as they come but i just wanted some backup to be sure cause they are being real freakin anal with these speed cars and warranties. thats why i cant wait to see there faces when all of joeP goodies get on my car and there aint a damn thing they can do about it. mess with me have to deal with uncle larry crane attorney at law lol!!!
