Are you saything that I cannot be critical of black people cuz I'm black?

You are one of the most ignorant people on these boards my friend.

If I can be intellectually honest in my daily life and stand firm on what I believe then please by all mean call me an uncle tom!

I'll wear that badge with pride.

Now let me tell you that I love Rap music, alonfg with jazz, rock, classical and just about every other form of music (except techno)

but you and your attacks on my person are just pathetic.

So if calling out a culture that was hijacked from classic hip-hop artists by these thug gangsta wannabes make me an uncle tom....so be it. My wife works with kids everyday who idolize people such as 50 Cent and the Ying -Yang Twins instead of people like MLK and Rosa Parks who did so much more to fight for the rights that they now enjoy. That is not how I will raise my kids.

Just know that whatever I am, you're still a man without a clue because you don't even know me.

Further more you must hate immigrants because according to you as an imigrant I have no rights. You sir, are scum!

And you are fat! (lol) Too funny..I love winding you guys up..it's so easy. Neither one of you bible toting idiots noticed the ;) in my post..that means I was Joking...kids (rolleyes)

Donas, the way I see it is in US politics and religion that give the US my homphobic/anti-gay title. I know there are plenty of people that are not, I see it on TV like you said, parades, etc etc, but it seems that these politians/religious freaks are so focused on banning gay marriage that they stand out far more than the tolorent/understanding part of US society.
Just look at Hughes421 posts, he is a religious freak as seen by his previous posts and clearly a prejudice ass against gay's just becase God says its the wrong way...**** that, more proof in my books that religious ***** up everything.
Here in Canada our last govn't approved gay marriage quite clearly and the majority of our society is open towards it, my fiancee's uncle is gay and has been with his current partner for a few year, its different for me, but I am all for it. I have 2 lesbian customers here at work, they are very nice ladies..nothing wrong with them
Good post! :)

While I think Hughes Might be a little heavy handed in his comments at times, he is entitled to his opinion. I mean Killercls told me that as an Immigrant I have no rights. Does that make him racist? He's an idiot and it's his right to be one. No sweat off my back. I would not call hughes a religious freak, but he is not shy about his faith. As a Christian myself I believe that the Gay lifestyle is wrong and you are free to disagree with me. I know and am friends with a few very nice gay people. But I in no way condone their lifestyle. Being gay is their choice and I would do my best to minister to them through the love of christ, but I cannot change them. The change must be theirs to make. I can only live out my beliefs. My faith in God has never messed things up for me. It's the reason I'm in this country and I am blessed to live the life I have today.

Are there religious zealots in this country? Sure. are there people who take things too far? no doubt. You'll find Atheistic Zealots, Buddhist zealots, my my most hated enemy: The Mac Zealot (and they said I could not be a real graphic artist cuz I worked on my custom built PC, what a crock!).

But we must approach every argument with reason and compassion and dignity.

I guess I could see some form of civil union where Gays and Lesbians get tax breaks and such, but even that is kind of stretching it for me. But I FIRMLY believe that the institution of Marriage should be held sacred and should be between a man or a woman. And despite the fact that no marriage is perfect, I also firmly believe that the Ideal situation is for a child to have a Mother figure and a Father Figure. Thats just my opinion. Feel free to disagree

Scum, bottomfeeding, filthy, loathesome, un-cultured, ill-mannered, childish, dirty, rotten scum.

I have nothing to prove to you. Though I am far from perfect, I stand firm in my faith.

I'll be praying for you.

I thought religion and the state were to be separate, because all i see here once again is religion in US politics. Just because a politician is religious does not mean everyone else in the country is, just because his God says marriage is to be between a man and a women doesn't mean the whole country has to abide by this religious view. How to you think the gay/lesbian population feels when they are forced to follow the religious views on something that they do not believe in? Must be damn frustrating when they don't believe in god or that they do not share the same views, but they are still stuck having to go with what someone else says they have to follow.
Religion is fine, if you want to believe in something or need it to make it through the day thats fine with me, but there is nothing more aggrevating to me that having it ramed down the throats of people who choose not to be religious. The US is suppose to be a free country isn't it, freedom of choice??

So Canada voted for gay marriage whoopee! This is coming from a country that couldnt stop Ethiopia from invading? Your country is no better then America. Your country is filled with spineless people that do nothing but sit around and get high all day. The biggest part of the US drugs are smuggled through your country into ours! Your government officials promote it! Your beloved Canada is no better then Mexico.

And as for the religious freak, that is prejudice against gays remark. My beliefs have been a part of how this WHOLE world was made. Its been passed down from the start of time. So I think Ill take the word of 100s of millions over the very few non-believers that have walked this earth.

Dont bother..it's a waste of time. Go find a buffet to hit up.

I gotta say that the intention of separation of church and state (which by the way does not apprear anywhere in the consititution) is debateable. Though I don't claim to be an expert in US history, the phrase "separation of church and state has been so muddled and misinterpreted, I don't know if anyone knows its original intent anymore. Even though I'll disregard the "need faith to make it through the day" comment, I will say that our governing bodies do have a part to play in protecting institutions that made this country what it is in the first place.

Gay people do not have religion rammed down their throats anymore than I as a heterosexual Christian have blatant immorality, Christian bashing and racism rammed down mine. I prefer to call them debates that are worth having. And while this is the freest country on earth, that freedom does come with responsibility and that freedom is made possible by the rule of law. Without it it ceases to be freedom and it turns into anarchy.

In the end the will of the people will be done. But the Governing parties and the people have the right to fight for what they believe in. Thats what makes America the greatest country on earth.

Aren't you glad that we live in a country where we can at least have the debate? And make our voiced heard through the ballot box? You don't like how your representative governs? Then vote him out.

I've already gone this route with these guys. I've been nice and polite to these people (on the forum) in the past. But in the end if you dont agree with them they just resort to name-calling. Because of people like these Ive actually worsen my views on gays.

Yes I do call my self a christian. And once again, you're a disgrace of a human being. I didn't say you had no rights, or call you an uncle tom, or insult you or your family. What I will repeat once again is that you are scum.

I don't hate you, I just feel sorry for you.

Thats the truth. I like debating. But if people have to resort of personal attacks and namecalling to try and make their point, then it's useless. Just don't stoop to their level man. It's just a forum. Talk to those and debate with those who want to debate and have fun, and as for those who seem to have the mentality of 2 yr olds, just ignore them.

We're Christians. We're a bunch of kook zealots who are secretly trying to rule the world. We have no rights.

I have 2x no rights cuz I'm a Christian AND an Immigrant. *sigh* thank God for giving man a sense of humor.

Pond scum really suits me better..I mean I live in Florida...And just so you know, I was raised in a very strict religious household as a child. My father was military for most of my young life and my mother very active in the church. I was baptised Episcopal, went to bible study and all that jazz. But I seem to remember as a "Good Christian" you are not supposed to throw derogatory names at the godless but to preach the gospal to the godless. Maybe this deroogatory namecalling thing is new to the religion. (dunno)
I don't hate you, I just feel sorry for you.

(rofl) Neato.
