Help with Premacy gearbox

Hello all,
Got a 2003 Premacy 1.8 with a very noisy gearbox.

I've got the box off but cant work out how to split it, it comes about 2 inches apart and thats it.

Does anyone know if Mazda fitted the same gearbox to any other models as I cant locate a Premacy gearbox at a breakers ?
