Headlights for 2003 changed???

I recently picked up a 2003 P5 and wanted to change my headlights. Was just wondering if every other 2003 owner managed to get H7's to work on their's? Call me stupid, but the Eurolite H7's I picked up dont fit... Heck, the 2 prongs on the original headlights are further apart than the H7's I wanted to put in. Did I miss a step here? Or did Mazda really change the headlights between 2002-2003 models?

those are the right bulbs! you know on the stock bulb it has the black plastic piece on the bottom , use a screw driver and put it in the middle to pry it apart it from the bulb. it like a adapter to fit it to the plugs. i thought i got the wrong bulbs too , but those are it H7s.

Hey thanks a lot. I'll have to give it a try when it stops raining. It's the first time I've seen an adapter for lightbulbs. Sheesh, Mazda likes to make us take the extra step :)

some bulbs, even if they are H7's sometimes they don't fit.
but I believe eurolite should fit though. but make sure you put it right, otherwise, you will mess up the clip. and if you mess up the clip, there's no way you could get this from dealer, cause that clip doesn't have part number and it means you have get new headlight, or make your own clip.
just my 2 cents... ( I have had so many bad experiences with changing bulbs...don't use any watts greater than 55w, either you get silverstar bulbs or piaa one's)
for me, I have finally decided to get Catz HID conversion Kit from Liteswap...no more worries...

same here, now i just gotta decide on what temp, 4500, 5000 or 6000?

im savin up....

and, a little OT, do you know how blue the 5000k kit actually is? i was looking on their website and its not too helpful. do u know the temp on the IS300s, cuz tahts the color i want

Zacky, just remember that all OEM is 4100-4500K. The blue you see if due to the housings.

I would still suggest 4500K. After time, they colorshift anyways. I personally think 5500 is too blue. Stick w/ 4500K, it is brighter, performs better and the output is better.

Keep in mind you guys get 10% by using the coupon code "mazdamp3"

I totally agree with liteswap.
My friend drive IS300 and his light has bright white light. I think blue and purble isn't necessary, if you are looking for performance go for 4500k,but if you prefer BMW or AUdi looking then go for 5500k.
whichever, You still get good discounts from liteswap.

Hey, Liteswap.com site have been changed and updated. :)

yea.. it just went live last night :) How do you like it?

Just for clarification BMW/Audi are still 4100-4500K... its in the housings that make the color. If you look at it straight ahead.. it is white. You cannot replicate that type of light refraction w/ your housings. If you go higher, that is equivalent to buying those blue halogen bulbs :(

oh... my lack of knowledge....shame on me... :(

Yeah I like your new website, it's more clean and attractive.
BTw, do you sell HID bulbs seperately too?? (bowdown)
