Greddy ProFec B Spec II install question to all

Hello,

I just installed my Greddy ProFec B Spec II boost contorller today. I called Greddy and they said to hook up the red wire coming off the Spec B inot the 12v constant line of the car. I did this and now the thing will not turn off (even with the car off, constant 12v remember). So my question to you guys is what wire did you hook the red wire (coming out of the Spec B) into, the AUX, or the Ignition 12v? Please help me out, I don't want to drain my battery.

Also, what have been the best setting for you guys using this thing?

dude you hook the red wire to the 12v blue wire on the harness. This only supplys 12v when the key is in the on/start position

so power problems aside, have you run the car with it hooked up yet? Im thinking about buying the same one too, but I want to know how it works.. does boost still fade? etc..

boost will always fade its the nature of our car/turbo. Its the wastegate so replace that if u dont want it to fade

Ok, so it goes to the blue? I went to the green on my Greddy Harness which is the ON 12v. So I think that I'm tied into the right place. Question: Will the settings in the Boost controller stay when the unit has no power to it, or do I have to reprogram the thing every time I want to run a higher boost level?

The Greddy works good, I have not played with it yet so I cannot entertain your question, but I did notice that the stock boost level has gone DOWN after the install (the Greddy instructions said that this would happen).

the setting will stay unless you unplug the battery. My stock boost didnt go down after but oh well. Make sure you get the colder plugs before you crank it up just to be safe. BTW where did you mount the solonoid unit in the engine bay? I think mine was in a bad space and might have gotten too hot.

for 10psi SET to 37-45% (start low and build slowly)
Gain at 7%
set gain at 65-70psi
Spikes at 11-11.5 settles in at 9.5 to 10

start with the SET and gain to get it to hold at 10psi then add SET GAIN to get the spool up quicker(will spike higher)

Great! Thanks. I mounted my unit (hehe) infront of the stock airbox, right in the little nook between the airbox and the air conditioning hardline. I think this spot is OK, but I'm not sure if the A/C line is high pressure or low pressure (Need to check that out).

I'm going to buy the plugs and then I'm going to play!!! By the way, do you have the low setting set to 7.5 psi or close to that number? If so, what are your settings for that? Thanks for all the help.

i had the low set for constant 7 peaking at 7.5-8

SET 22%
Gain 5%
SETGAIN 65

you what plugs to get right the NGK bkr-7e

Later(hope my Profec B gets back soon)
