good move boston

what you people dont get is that the redsox werent very interested in persuing damon for another four plus years. First of all lets look at one thing, damon was not good last year....he batted around mid 200's all year, he wasnt worth 40+million we can now take our 40 million and go after a more balanced player. and as far as the manny deal is going to go i say watch out for miguel, and marte will rack up the numbers in the next two years hes going to be a well rounded third baseman.

get your facts straight... damon was leading the AL for a while for best BA, he ended up at around 300, he in fact had his best year ever at the plate, he is a steady outfeilder with decent range, just a bad arm.... all in all i think the sox would have paid him the 13 mill a year just not for 4 years b/c damon is getting old and any more then 3 is just stupid as he is 31, this is his last multi year deal you can be sure so he took the longest most lucrative offer... it was from the yankees oh well....
