Expensive: KW v1,v2 Tein basic, Tein Super street, Stance, etc= 1000 up. (i personally have Kw v2 which i got for a steal and i love them. very comfortable)
Its like they said. you get what you pay for. I say you either A) buy the nice ones that will run you about a grand or B) get drop springs and new struts and shocks which will run you about 500 bucks if you shop around. I have TEIN s-tech springs on my car. good drop, ride great and didn't cost me much.
So ive decided to not go with coil overs.Do some research and thinking im going to get the tein s-tech springs. They look great and a good brand. Ive seen a picture of what it looks like after the install and its a perfect ride height, i think. Thanks for all the info, appreciate it! Heres the picture
Bilstein makes awesome products, unfortunately they do not sell their PSS B14 and PSS9 B16 coilover kits for the Mazda3 in the US. I have piddled around with finding them online overseas, but frankly I have no desire to wait over a month and pay probably $500 in shipping. They seem to be about $800 and $2000 respectively IIRC from messing with euro exchange rates.
Here is a really good write up on suspension stuff... many other awesome links for learning as well... not the BS spewed here like "my coilovers go lower than your coilovers... so mine are better" (braindead
