Hey guys,

Last year I replaced my front end links that were clunking with MOOG brand ford escape end links. This year I had my car checked out and my left front is starting to clunk again, there is movement on the end link but clunking isn't very loud. Anyone know why this happened so quickly?

Are you sure it's your endlinks ? Did you check if your sway bar bushings are gone? That's what caused the clunking on my p5

Yeah I checked I went underneath while the car was up on the hoist and there's some play in the end link

Moog is a pretty good name, I don't think they should have worn out that fast.

Did you grease them periodically ? (Moog was the only brand I could find at Rockauto that had grease fittings for the stock p5)

I think they were greased at the time of installation but not after that. Could just a bad batch or something? I'm getting another new link tomorrow under warranty but labour is not covered

Greasing things isn't necessarily done by the mechanic. Make sure use state specifically to have them greased.
(my rear calipers were installed with no grease by the mechanic)

Just do it ur self, and save that money.

I was thinking that too but it's a matter of time for me tomorrow since I have to work, $25 labour for the install seems fair from my mechanic.

I'll make sure that my mechanic greases it tomorrow. The last installation was done by another mechanic but I haven't gone back to him for some other dispute.
