Foggy windshield

Titanium MSP
I've had my MSP for close to 4 years now. I noticed recently vapor lines in my windshield. I see them when I am driving and the sun is beating down on my windshield. I don't see them at night or on a cloudy day. I tried everything to clean my windshield. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong because ofcourse it was a rainy day. They put some stuff on it but it didn't help. I tried using my finger nail to scrap the stuff off but it doesn't move. It looks like it inside the windshield. Is that possible? I don't smoke inside my car. I need to get this figured out becasue my warranty is up in June. Anyone else experience this? Search came up empty. I'm going to try to take a pic tomorrow while driving.

How many times have you hd the car into the dealer for the same reason, take it back to them and make them look at it. There are lights inside of a shop and there are also drop lights that the techs use to work with. Even if it's raining or late in the evening a tech needs to see. I worked in a shop over night and we had a bunch of lights for the techs all kinds of different stuff.

Most insurance companies will allow you a new windshield every 2 or 3 years as part of your basic coverage, without it raising your premium. (They consider it a safety item) Call your insurance agent and find out if it's covered.

Who told you this? In the State of Florida there is a statute in place for personal vehicles that your comprehensive deductible is not applied in the event of a covered loss to your windshield. If you do not have comprehensive coverage, you have no coverage for the windshield. There is no such provision in any standard auto policy regardless of the state its written in that allows for replacement of windshield glass every 2-3 years.

His problem sounds like a manufacturing defect which is not a covered peril on any auto policy.

Here is what it looks like. You can see the lines in it. Looks like vapor lines.
