I tried to use the search part of this website but all that happened was that I found stuff not related to the 5 and when I did search the 5 location it timmed out. Grrr.
So here's my question, that's probably been answered before somewhere. What are the locations under the 5 to safely place a floor jack? I just purchased a floor jack today in preparation of the change-over to winter tires/wheels. I don't like using the jack that came with the car (well, acutually the jack is ok) or rather the locations where the jack is used along the side. The lower plastic skirt is getting warped from my twice a year tire change-over with my '08 5. I've never used a floor jack before and I'm pretty sure that I can't just start jacking anywhere under the car.
Garages have all different types of cars going in and being jacked up. Are there general reference points one can use to jack up any car. There must be because I can't see a mechanic trying to find a manual for a specific model of car just to find the jacking points.
Any tips would be muchly appreciated since I know the snow is coming soon
