flawed ECU??

Hi, still a newbie, heh anyways.

what is this ECU problem i'm hearing? Can someone point it out to me and explain how bad it is? thanks a lot

i'm guessing you're talking about the hesitation. usually happens around 4500 rpm when the ecu switches from closed to open loop. basically, it feels like the car stumbles and then picks up again. so far no one's come up with a 100% fix for it. joe p's fpr kit helps a lot. so does an intake. supposedly a new flash for our ecu will be out in a couple of months. but not everyone has the hesitation, i don't. car pulls fine straight to redline.

i just now relized the hesitation... if you watch the RPMs and dont think much of it u think its turbo lag.. it looks and feels like it so i started revving hard and snaping through the gears faster
but it still never really threw me in my seat till 5500rpms there is no way in hell it takes that long for a t25 peashooter to spool up

mine is really bad, i live in New england so weather is different daily, i think that plays a big factor on some days my car COMPLETELY loses power at 4K rpm and picks up aroudn 5500 and other days it pulls hard straight to redline and a little beyond once this problem has a fix, i will LOVE my msp now i only love it a little, i love it like getting rid of morning breathe, its just great

I have put on joe's fpr kit. It helped out a LOT! But I have noticed other things...like driving down the highway, dropping it into 4th to pass a car and the rpm's will not go past 4k at all, no matter what I do! Doesn't do it ALL the time, but definitely after the car has heated up. I think joe's kit put the fix on the whole thing, but I think I am getting really bad hesitation due to the fact that the cooling fan is blowing super hot air straight into the stock airbox intake!......

I have in my hands an Aluminium Rad from AWR (full size) and I am waiting for my Ion I/C kit.

When I render the stock cooler obsolete, both rad and cooler are being removed.

Once both are installed I will be making an Aluminium Shroud to direct the fan down and way from the Turbo and the airbox.

I'll post pics when complete.

I may install FAL fans aswell. If no this year, for sure next!
