Fix few minior scratches

Brand new Mazda5 2010, I notices few minor small scratches along the side of the doors. Probably assholes who could not keep their hands to themselves.

I see the scratches, the paint is good, what should I do to repair the scratches? Will waxing work? I still have not wax my car yet.

If you can run your finger over the scratches and your nail does not dip into it, then you can remove them. Try a cleaner wax or light to medium duty rubbing compound.

any part store has scratch remover in the wax section, even walmart has it. some work better than others, depending on the severity of the scratch. polishing compound should take it out 1st time. then wax.

light scratches can be protected using the touch up paint with clear. Wax alone will not protect it for long. As mentioned before, it may be possible to buff them out if not too bad.

I have used Scratch DR, GT 88 and New Finish scratch remover, all with successful results

+1 on New Finish scratch remover, wash the affected area first before application. Good luck I hope you fix it
