I had the fiamm dual tone horns, but the horns decided to just quit working one day.

Linuxracr came out and we went to O'Reily auto parts and picked up this bad boy:

Let me just say, this thing is incredible. I'll try to get the comparison pics up and get a sound clip of how it sounds. The dual tone scared people, but this makes people s*** their pants!!!

No more getting run off the road (dance)

now...if they only came chromed....I would get some for my Harley!!

if you think your miata is invisible....try getting on the road on a bike with all the whacko's out there!

Luckily I snapped some pictures...

Moeed looks like a ******* mad scientist! (evil)

Here is the comparison between the horns I have on my car (smaller ones), and the BIG Boss horns we installed on Moeed's car. Let me tell you, I THOUGHT my horns were loud...lol!

Was it the longer actual horns themselves that made them luder, or is the air pump also more powerful? I have two smaller fiamm ones like yours, and I would love to make them louder. Could I just buy two longer horns, or do I need a whole new kit?

Thanks!

If you can still get a sound clip, that would be great...especially if you can also play the stock horn or the old horns to compare them to something.

Thanks!

how do those fit in behind the grill? there didn't seem to be enough room back there for those when i did mine w/ a smaller horn. also how much did those cost??

It was 33 bux. We got them to fit like this:

underneath the grill. THe compressor is chilling off 3 brackets and is hidden as well as the horn. I will try to get a sound clip soon.

Well, we found out that the compressor from the smaller horns is larger, but it puts out less air than the new one (its smaller)(wtf), but it puts out more air.

You can buy the larger horns and use the old compressor, it still loud. We hooked the horns up to the old compressor, so it will work.

Could you maybe take a pic of how you have them installed? I really want to do this but could never find a good (easy) place to put them. Maybe with some direction I could get my head out of my ass to figure it out... thanks!

Are they better these days? Long ago I put "air horns" on the old farm truck. They were probably some cheap unit. Loud, but I hated that they were hard to control, and were slow to react. You had to hold the horn button down a good second at least and wait for the pump to spit the sound out. There wasn't any way to do a simple little toot to get somebody to wake up at a green light. And if somebody cut you off, they were three car lengths down the road before the damn horn sounded.

How fast do these react?? Loud is nice, but faster is more important.
