FD Rims on P5

i was going to run 225's, but got these tires for $120 for the set and they are almost new. could not pass that up. less than $500 once everything was all mounted balanced and on the car. thats for wheels tires spacers and balance. i, and especially my wife was very happy.

Bringing this thread back from the dead: would 215 tires detract from the benefit offered by 8-inch wheels? I am in the process of acquiring some FD wheels and want something that will fit well, but I also want the benefits.

detract, no. not take full advantage, yes. with a 3mm spacer you can run 225s on all 4 corners. a 245 will fit up front.

Will it require fender rolling to fit 225s? There seem to be differences of opinion on this point.

Nevermind. I just referred back to your post that confirms that I would need to roll my rears. I looked at the pics and words that 00bluees posted, and he says that the 215/50/16 fit will, but I think I would get more grip with a 225/45. The two issues are that the only tires available in that size are more expensive (duh, high performance), and the fender rolling.

I had 225s on the back of my sedan without a roll, but they rubbed with 2 people in the back. As I recall P5s are smaller in the rear wheel well.

so i got me another set of fds for my msp sold my first pair last year i ran 225/50 with a spacer just in the rear don't remember exactly what size spacer but it didn't clear the rear center bore but the front was perfect mounted flush.... now this year i will be running dunlop dizzera zII 225/45 and i was reading up that everybody recommend 3mm spacer all around and that ill be able to run 245 in front..... if i had the acc lateral link kit with a 3mm spacer in the rear can i run 245 in the back to?... also would u guy recommend boring the wheel out and running a hub centric rings with 3mm spacer to insure the wheel will be perfectly centered?.... what size hub centric ring and bore would be a good choice for the fds?... i drive an msp

I wasn't able to get the 245s on the rear, but with a roll and the perfect sized spacer you may be able to. If you're motivated enough, anything is possible.

For inspiration/comparison: Ventus RS-2s, 245/45 front, 225/45 rear.

Damn that looks so good, Wagonbacker9. What kind of suspension were you running? I am just doing S-Techs with Staggs, so I think I'll just stick with 225/45 all around since I won't have the stiffness to keep from rubbing on hard bumps.

ALSO,
DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY FD WHEELS THEY WANT TO SELL ME? I had a good lead on some, but I strung him along for too long without having any money to put up, so I think he got sick of me.
