Does anyone know where to get the ECU grade for msp? I heard that you can order one and once you receive it you send them yours in return and it's cheaper.(mspo) (mspo)

Don't waste your money on an aftermarket ECU upgrade. If you really wanna beef up your ECU just get a power FC instead as you can remap it over and over again for no additional price. The ECU costs $$$$ each time you get it reprogrammed.

Or you can simply wait for Mazdas ECU upgrade/fix that should be coming out soon.

Isn't a Power FC an Aftermarket ECU Upgrade? Also the PowerFC has no application for our cars, it also costs way too much for the need.

We have plenty of viable solutions for the ECU including Haltech, Microtech, Electromotive, and Perfworks magical ecu.

I am running a Haltech E6K, spoolin runs the Microtech, Hi-boost runs a Haltech F10. You wouldn't even believe the power that can be extracted through a properly tuned system, not even mazda's "fix" will come close.

I would opt to install the E6X, I usually sell the complete kits for around 1350 shipped. The E6X will piggyback much better with the stock ECU and allow complete control over fuel/ignition along with programmable outputs.

Installation takes about 4 hours if you work hard. You don't need to have any modifications done to your car, you will benefit regardless. The stock fuel injectors run out of juice at 7psi so I'd recommend upgrading the injectors at the same time. I am currently tuning a set of 460cc injectors and should be finished later this week.

Nice stuff turboge, haven't seen you post before. Sounds like you know what you're doing. I would love a E6X some day. :)

I tend to stay clear of normal forums... You can see most of my stuff in Forced Induction. Including information about my car and the installation of the E6K.

The E6X can be seen on haltechs website in the product listing.

It is a real-time programmable ecu, meaning you can make changes instantly via laptop without shutting the car off.
